Vikings Bringing Back Dontarrious Thomas
So sayeth the folks at Access Vikings.
I kind of like this move, to be honest. We can't have Vinny Ciurciu out there at middle linebacker in crunch time. . .or at any other time, for that matter.
Thomas, who the Vikings selected in the second round of the 2004 Draft, signed with the San Francisco 49ers as a free agent this off-season, but was released during Training Camp. The Vikings will have to make a roster move to accomodate Thomas once his paperwork clears with the league.
EDIT: Apparently said roster move is going to be rookie OL Drew Radovich moving to the injured reserve list with an injured shoulder.

Welcome Back
This has the makings of good fortune on both sides. DT knows the system at all three regular spots, and the injuries have been digging a huge deficit of linebackers on special teams as well. As the old song goes, “Who’d have thought they’d lead ya… back here where we need ya?”
Will this help??
No real pass rush for the money. bad hands at reciever, again. A coach who scripts the most predictable offense, and won’t use the best running back we’ve had since r. smith in creative ways. A year of patience, that only minnesotian’s could have, with a boring offence and a clearly mediocre quarterback. Now we have a solid backup leading an unconvincing “division championship” team. E.J. out hurts. It showed against the Saints in the second half of that game, and, clearly, against the lions. This move will help, a little, but our team needs heart to provide convincing wins. Top down, childress goes. …At the very least, he’ll probably school the giants this year (again). We need a coach who knows the NFC north.
