Noooooooo
Damn you, Dallas! Damn you! They traded for Williams and got him! They gave up a ton though. First, third, and seventh rounder for him. He's good, but I think that was a bit much. Still, I would have loved to have had him land in Minnie. What upsets me more than losing him is that Detroit now has some extra high-round draft picks to use for their rebuilding process. I can only hope that Ford remains the owner and keeps making his wonderful management decisions.
PS: Let the jokes about the Lions drafting a reciever in the first round begin. Again. . . Still.

Now they can draft a whole team of receivers from what they got for him!

Dallas
paid too much for him. RW is a good reciever, but he is not great. 3 picks is elite reciever territory, not good. for my team, i would have paid 1 4 or at most 1 3 round pick, so I am glad that we did not get involved in a bidding war for him. in any case, the llittle kittie kittens would not have traded him to us, a division rival, just like the Packers were never going to trade Favre to us.
Besides, once Sidney Rice gets healthy we are pretty well set at receiver. BB gun is proveing to be worth the money we paid for him, Rice is a solid #2, and Aundrea Allison is developing into a solid #3.. lets not forget that we have Jaymer Johnson waiting in the wings to be our #4/punt returner next year. luckily for us, WR is not a position of need for the future. we are a little thin right now, but only because of injuries up and down the Corp.
Any way, back to topic. This is a very good pick up for Dallas, but they paid too much for him, especially since they were more likely to get him as a free agent than most other teams. where we have several needs to address in the draft next year, and the price was too much. to keep him in the division probably would have cost 2 1st rounders plus 1 or more later round picks. this is speculation based on what the dallas gave up for him (we would have to give up more).

I would have thought they would have gone after a Quarterback for the next 3 games….
but instead they got another WR to watch the Statue get sacked

The Lions made an intelligent roster move. Shocking.
I’m disappointed. I like seeing them bumble and fumble and suck all over the field.
In AP I trust

well let’s wait and see what they do with those picks before we make any kind of statements like intelligent moves.

definitely, because having a six receiver spread just doesn’t seem like enough.

This is almost the equivalent of the Celtics getting Garnett and that other guy. Dallas is just going to kill even worse now. At least until they hit the playoffs.
