No mistakes

As long as we don’t make any retard mistakes this half, hopefully we can pull this out

YES!!

Vikings kick it deep to Hester, who FUMBLES!!

Hester’s saying it was down. . .looked like a fumble to me.

It's Minnesota ball

At the Chicago 17 if this stands.

It looked to me like that ball was coming out before his elbow hit the ground.

Though they might be able to enact the AP rule on it.

I say

That’s a fumble Mofos

by cheaptoy on Oct 19, 2008 1:46 PM CDT reply actions

An argument can be made that that thing was moving around before his arm hit.

by cheaptoy on Oct 19, 2008 1:47 PM CDT reply actions

TV announcers

The tv announcers dont think it was a fumble….that means it probably will be a fumble!

by adammoney on Oct 19, 2008 1:47 PM CDT reply actions

chicago ball.

remember the peterson fumble a week or two ago tbhat was reviewed and was deemed not a fumble, because he his hand was still touching the ball when his knee touched

by yanksrule08 on Oct 19, 2008 1:48 PM CDT reply actions

Nope. . .call overturned

Chicago gets the ball at their own 20.

Damn it.

Ah, well, just have to stop them the conventional way.

Of course

We force a fumble, and the Bears are right there to recover it.

For crying out loud.

Can we cover a TE, please? Greenway looked awful on that drive.

by cheaptoy on Oct 19, 2008 1:53 PM CDT reply actions

WTF is wrong with our defense today? They were so solid before, and today they’re just absolute trash.

by Frost on Oct 19, 2008 1:55 PM CDT reply actions

Against the pass, anyways.

by Frost on Oct 19, 2008 1:55 PM CDT up reply actions

Its all to TE’s. Which makes sense considering how banged up the LB core is.

by cheaptoy on Oct 19, 2008 1:55 PM CDT up reply actions

Touchdown, Bears

Orton hits Desmond Clark, who makes it almost to the goal line when Cedric Griffin strips the ball from him. . .and the only person around to cover it is Rashied Davis. Unfortunately, he plays for the Bears.

So, the Bears score again, and the score is now 34-24.

Scoring drive took 6 plays to go 80 yards, and only took 2:48 off the clock.

Bears 34, Vikings 24, 12:12 left in the third quarter.

At some point in this game, we have to slow down and/or cover somebody. . .don’t we?

by cheaptoy on Oct 19, 2008 2:02 PM CDT up reply actions

And he was facing the wrong way. Peterson just cut to the other side and the defender had to turn all the way around to see him again, by that time he was past him.

Typical homer

Unbelievable – did the refs cause the interceptions? Did the refs squib kick and give the ball to Chicago mid field – twice? Did the refs fumble the punt snap? Did the refs let the ball hit them on the one yard line fielding a punt? So that call is definitely the difference maker.

7- pt game w/ 3 min left

Do we Kick it deep and hope for defense? Or onside kick?

by DelawareBerserker on Oct 19, 2008 3:02 PM CDT reply actions

Nope, no review

Frerotte with a 5 yard TD pass to Berrian, and the Longwell extra point closes it to. . .I can’t even believe I’m typing this. . .48-41.

Drive went 75 yards in 13 plays, taking 4:11 to accomplish.

dumb… flat out dumb… they get 9.5 yds and we call a timeout for 2nd and 1/2yd

This is so typical of a childress coached team...

didn’t even try the onside kick, now no hope to get the ball back…fire childress

First Down and game's overm but

3rd down at the 2 min warning. If they pass incomplete- its obvious (doubtful)

If they run and we hold them, we get the ball back w/ 1:20 left with no T.O’s

by DelawareBerserker on Oct 19, 2008 3:08 PM CDT reply actions

Well, we're gonna get it back with about a minute left

Now, to see what we do with it.

And while I'd like to,

I can’t blame this loss on Childress.

by Robert Rence on Oct 19, 2008 3:14 PM CDT up reply actions

That would be like Cutting your own Mothers Throat Man

I’ll never do that. I’m just annoyed by all the Losing this team has had in my 19 years of existence, i’m sick of the terrible play calls by Childress.

by Tony_O on Oct 19, 2008 3:18 PM CDT up reply actions

2 games this has happened

once with TJack, and another with Frerotte

DO WE NOT PRACTICE THE 2-MINUTE DRILL!!!

Holy Freakin Shit…

1st down- sack

2nd down- interception

You could bet on this with Childress’s team

by DelawareBerserker on Oct 19, 2008 3:13 PM CDT reply actions

Absolutely

But I maintain that Special Teams and the 2-Minute drill both terrible?

Seriously, do we not practice like any other team?

I put that down to the coach. This was ridiculous

by DelawareBerserker on Oct 19, 2008 3:15 PM CDT up reply actions

And, despite putting up 41 points today

We still haven’t had a 300-yard passing game since Culpepper did it against the Saints in Week 3 of 2005. Frerotte finished the day with 298.

We lose

by one td and our special teams gave up two ridiculously stupid tds. Just saying…
Four terrible passes for interceptions probably didn’t help much either…

i knew it i just called it. i told my friend as soon as we took the field frerotte would throw a pick. he forces to much when he is pressured. fuck it our season is done. might as well put booty out there and start developing

not the worst loss of the season…our offense actually showed some life. a couple huge plays by our ST was too much to overcome.

by jswen on Oct 19, 2008 3:18 PM CDT reply actions

I think its amazing that we even got this close after giving up those two terrible ST TDs. (lawl it looks like STDs). Those things can kill a team. Let alone twice, but we responded pretty nicely. It was just too big a hole I guess. The offense gives me hope for after the bye week, though. Defense apparently needs alot of work though.

by Frost on Oct 19, 2008 3:26 PM CDT reply actions

That's exactly why

it’s our worst loss. Our offense scored 41 points… WITHOUT any defensive points! And we STILL can’t win… against the Bears!! That game was just plain absurd. I guess it kind of makes up for the past couple weeks. We played so terrible but we still won both games. We finally make some big plays and put up big numbers against an awful offensive team and then can’t win. The Vikings just keep us on our toes.

by Squeaker1018 on Oct 19, 2008 3:27 PM CDT reply actions

Football hangover

According to Childress ,when he took over this team, it was suppose to about discipline and precision. Horse Hockey

If you can get your hands on the ball you should be able to catch it no matter what!
