Just informed by Vikings PR ace Tom West that the 59-yard return of a blocked field goal for a touchdown by Antoine Winfield in the first quarter was the first time ever the Vikings have done that in the regular season. The Vikings did return a blocked field goal for a touchdown in the postseason. That came in a 1976 game against the Los Angeles Rams when Bobby Bryant did it at Metropolitan Stadium.

When I was watching the game
I saw him getting good pressure often enough. He just never has the luck to get the QB looking the other way. They always seem to get rid of the ball.

in the Division, Nice. Hopefully this can build some confidence and we can come out and make the Motor City Kittys our Bitches
What really scares me
is that like last year. This team starts off losing despite it’s talant. we all get excited about a high draft pick,, only for the team to start winning because of its talant, so we get excited about the playoff again, only to have the worst of both worlds, finnish with too good a record for a great pick, but not good enough to make the playoffs. Hope that doesn’t happen this year

Pretty much anyway, whoever had the ball last would win.
Sadly, I had had enough and had turned the game off. I found out the Vikings won the old fashioned way: Via phone call. My best friend called and I couldn’t find the phone as it was buried in the couch. When I listened to his message he said that the Vikings had won. I was recording the game, so I called him back and talked to him for a bit, and then went back and watched the game. I didn’t set the recorder to record long enough, so it stopped recording right before the field goal. Glad to get the win, but just once I’d like to be able to watch a game where they are just cruising with a win at the end.
