Official Texans/Vikings Injury Reports
Never has the phrase "sick and tired of being sick and tired" applied more than it does to me. If it's not straight-up sickness, it's aches and pains that make me not feel like doing anything. But, I persist anyway, because that's my job. . .that's what I do.
Now, we actually have Vikings' football to look forward to tomorrow afternoon, after having two weeks to stew over the craziness of the Chicago game. It will be nice to see our guys get back on the field again. But, not all of them are going to make it back. . .let's take a look at some of the players for both teams that will NOT be on the field at the Metrodome tomorrow.
We'll start with the Texans, because they're our guests, and it's just the polite thing to do.
No terribly significant injuries for the Texans, it doesn't appear. I see Ahman Green is listed as questionable, but he's been "questionable" since about 2005. As long as the Texans have rookie Steve Slaton available, their running game. . .or what running game they can establish against the Vikings. . .will be as good as it's going to get.
Now, to the Vikings' injury list.
The big news coming out of this list is that, good God almighty, Madieu Williams is actually going to strap it up and take the field for the Vikings. And it's about time, too. . .after getting a big contract in the off-season and missing the first 7 games of his Viking career with a neck injury, I can't wait to see what this guy can bring to the defense. Sidney Rice and Ray Edwards are listed as probable as well, and there's no reason to think that they won't either start or see significant time.
We're about 12 hours away from kickoff as I type this. Hopefully every one of you will be back here tomorrow afternoon for the party known as Vikings football!

Undisclosed injury? What could be the possible reason behind not letting anybody know what form of injury the third-string guard is going through? Geez, you’d think we were the Patriots…

Probably not the place for this
BUT!!!! I thought I should brag real quick as I don’t make it to many games. I will be sitting in the 5th row on the 50 yard line baby and I am STOKED!!!
Hoping to see a great game as we’ll be leaving early tomorrow morning for a bit of a drive.
One more thing….I know Visanthe is not a big fantasy football hero or anything, but I just picked him up this week to replace Witten, and I’m looking for big things from him tomorrow….SEAM ROUTE!
GO VIKINGS!!!

Williams and Rice
I know I’ll be happy to see Williams and Rice back in the lineup. We had some great offense last game with the Bears and didn’t have Sidney. Hopefully he’ll be back to contribute significantly. With Madieu Williams in action, Tyrell Johnson will be added depth when the inevitable nickle package comes in or in relief for Williams; I bet he gets tired.

SHOULD be a win
The Texans are hot, but it is not exactly against the cream of the NFL beating Miami, Detroit and Cincinnati.
If the Vikings special teams don’t blow it (a big “if” I know), then an offense that is getting its sea legs under it as demonstrated last week against a good Bears D, and a defense that for once will have 10 of the 11 original starters playing, plus being at home, should man handle the Texans.
My prediction gives the Vikings the win. Give me the Vikes with 32 and the Texans with 21.
It may take a village to raise a child, but it takes a Viking to raze a village.
