My favorite part...

are the Packers guys after yet another Frerrotte pick: “God bless Gus Frerrotte. He’s single-handedly keeping the Packers in the game.”

Also, despite the special teams giving up yet another TD, it’s tough to blame them on that one. Watch it again. It was a tremendous individual effort by Blackman.

Outside of the New Orleans game

They’ve actually done a decent job on kickoff returns. And even in the second half of the Saints’ game, they got better.

But, for some reason, the punt return team is just a hot mess.

Beautiful!

I just loved seeing that as I had to miss the last half. But I played this over a couple times.
When you look a Gus’ face after the pick you can almost see a “There is no way I am going to let this beat us” That is what a team sees and rallies around.
On the flip side. Is anyone else besides me barfing in your boots when you see Thigpens stats? We see something in the kid enough to make us draft him and then watch him float off to KC. I remember folks saying that they hoped it would not come back to haunt us. Well, it has. Even more sickening is drafting TJax with a #2 when we probobly could have got him with a 7th pick.
So help me on this one. Do I drop Eli in fantasy and pick up Tyler? Send your advice.

Man, I love Paul Allen

I thought the field goal call was great, but the call on Adrian’s TD was better. As a commentator, you’re supposed to remain somewhat impartial (although I would rather Allen keeps doing it the way he does), yet Allen is screaming at the end of the play, “get in there!”

Oh man, he makes me laugh. Gotta love it.

No, no. . .

NATIONAL announcers are supposed to remain unbiased.

Home team announcers are free to be complete and utter homers. That’s what makes PA so great.

Radio

That’s why I love when I can pick up a game on the radio. I then turn the TV all the way down. The broadcasts may not be in sync, but it’s a minor annoyance compared to listening to that fooking Joe Buck. I can’t stand that guy!
