Blogger Deathsport Picks for This Week

Yes, we had a bye week last week, because somebody that won't be named *cough*Ben*cough* just assumed that because his team wasn't playing, nobody else's team was playing either.

(I kid, I kid.)

So, with that, here are my picks for Blogger Deathsport for the week.  I'm already 0-1 after having taken New England over the Jets.  The Pats were a 3.5 point favorite, and the Jets won outright.  Nice to see that Brett Favre can still take time out of his schedule to screw me over.  My picks are in bold.

DET @ CAR (-14) - Yeah, it's the Lions.  14 points is still a lot, though.  Then again, it IS the Lions.  Let's take Carolina here.

DEN @ ATL (-6.5) - Falcons win a shootout at home

HOU @ IND (-8.5) - The Texans came close the first time.  This time?  Not so much.

OAK @ MIA (-10.5) - Oakland is, to quote Charles Barkley, "turrible."

MIN @ TB (-3.5) - Yes, I'm a homer, but this feels like a FG or less kind of game

NO (-5.5) @ KC - The Chiefs officially drive a stake into the Saints' 2008 season.

CHI @ GB (no line = straight up even) - Deciding which team to cheer for here is like deciding whether you'd rather be shot or stabbed.  In this case, I'll take stabbing. . .er, Chicago.

PHI (-9) @ CIN - Can't give Philly that many points on the road.  They still win, but the Bengals cover

BAL @ NYG (-7) - Not that I think Baltimore will win. . .but I do think that this will be an ugly, low-scoring game

STL @ SF (-6.5) - Potentially this week's "they're showing this game to prisoners at Guantanamo" game.  Can't take the Rams on the road.  Niners by a TD.

ARZ (-3) @ SEA - What the hell happened to the Seahawks?  And how weird does it sound to say that the Cardinals should be printing playoff tickets already?

SD @ PIT (-5.5) - Steelers rebound from a tough loss to the Colts

TEN (-3) @ JAX - Titans remain undefeated

DAL (-1.5) @ WAS - Dallas = O-ver-RA-ted *clap, clap, clapclapclap*
