Jared Allen Fined, Not Suspended
Just saw this on ESPN.com, Jared Allen was fined $25,000 for his hit on Aaron Rodgers. While I think it's a rediculous fine, at least he wasn't suspended. As we've all talked about, he was just being aggressive, and I can even understand that roughing the passer penalty, but another fine is really, well, lame.

It's unfortunate the NFL is trying to put dresses on the quarterbacks anymore. Protect them, sure, but what they're doing now is just over the top. Put them in the red jerseys. Might as well; they pretty much already are wearing them.
But anyway. Allen is fine (no pun intended), a little lighter in the wallet, but otherwise good to go. Now we just have to worry about Kevin and Pat Williams.

Don't breathe on Rodgers....
Every time I see that replay on the so-called “late hit” I’m thinking; “Where’s the foul???” I’ve seen more violent contact at a K-Mart blue light special sale. You’re right. the NFL is turning into a pansy league….
