Not a lot to be said here, ladies and gentlemen. We can't let Orton get comfortable back there like he did against us the first time. He's not 100% back from his ankle injury, and the Williams brothers and Jared Allen need to spend some time getting reacquainted with their pal Kyle.
With the Packers urinating one down their collective legs this afternoon against Carolina (to officially go 0-4 against the NFC South, for what that's worth), the winner of this one should, in theory, have the smoothest sailing to the NFC North crown. Our guys need to go out and get this job done.
We're 407 miles from Chicago, we've got a full bottle of Mountain Dew, half a roasted chicken, it's dark. . .and we're playing indoors. Hit it!
SKOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL VIKINGS!!!!

I hear ya on that
I don’t trust us during any primetime game, we haven’t played well on MNF this year, even though we luckily won one of them, but we need to come out and punch them in the mouth to start out the game

also according to Access Viking. .
"Fox’s Jay Glazer, who broke this story related to ‘water pills’ and a product known as StarCaps in late October, reported today that the suspensions could be finalized by Tuesday. The story, picked up by the website Pro Football Talk, went on to say that if the suspenions aren’t handed down by Tuesday they won’t be imposed at all. That’s because there will be only four weeks left in the regular season after today and the NFL wants the suspensions served this year.
However, if the league suspends the players involved in this things could get ugly. According to Glazer, "Sources have told me that [the players potentially facing suspensions] have information that at least two high-ranking NFL members knew that there was an illegal substance called bumetanide in these StarCap pills and didn’t tell the players and didn’t tell the NFL players association.
If the players are still found guilty, they are going to file a temporary restraining order in another jurisdiction. They’ll also file suit not just against [the manufactor of] StarCaps but against the National Football League as well as the individuals who withheld this information."
____
basically we’ll know what will happen to the Williams wall by tuesday hopefully.

Aundrae Allison
Probably inactive due to inability to keep from pushing off on every route.
The table is set for the Vikings but as with seemingly every game during the Reign of Chili, can they keep from stabbing themselves with the fork? My guess is that they will win this game surprisingly easily as the matchups are all favorable except for, of course, kick coverage. That said, Frerotte absolutely has to stay away from the picks. That’s the only way the Bears win this game, imho.
Long-term, the pending supsension of the Williams boys while potentially devastating need not be so considering the opponents left on the schedule (AZ’s running game is the least of our worries and Detroit?) except for Atlanta and the Giants in what will be a meaningless game for the latter.

by VikingBillArlingtonVA on Nov 30, 2008 7:14 PM CST up reply actions
They'll Need to Throw to Win
Because one thing every NFL defense is going to and has done against the Vikings is put at least 8 (and sometimes 9) in the box and make Frerotte throw to win. TB set the tone for how to stop AD by keeping their lanes and containment taking away the cutback.
The place to run against the Bears though is straight up the gut between the tackles Have AD pop a couple decent gains early and then sucker them with the playaction to Shiancoe down the middle.

You're right
I expect AP to have a big night, but Frerotte can’t go out and stink up the joint again tonight like he’s done for the last month.
And who would have ever thought we’d actually be calling for the ball to go to Visanthe Shiancoe?

i dinnt quite understand what they said when berrian scored that 99yard.. is that the longest pass reception?
Nothing can stop the quad laser
It's the longest pass reception you can have
It was the 11th 99-yard play in NFL history.

Chicago Challenge
that it “never went out of bounds”
But, if it didn’t go out at all, I’m sure someone from Chicago was across the sideline when they touched the ball…
by DelawareBerserker on Nov 30, 2008 10:03 PM CST up reply actions
Great job Leber!
But tuck it away! It rolled out of bounds right?
Not sure from the one replay
but even if reversed the Bears are backed waaaaaaaaaay up.
by VikingBillArlingtonVA on Nov 30, 2008 10:02 PM CST up reply actions
Minnesota challenging
Whether or not the ball went out of bounds.
There should only be a million camera angles to see this one from.
Worst case, the Bears go from having the ball on the 48 to having the ball on the 7.
Best case, it’s Vikings’ ball at around the 15 or so.

by VikingBillArlingtonVA on Nov 30, 2008 10:04 PM CST up reply actions
Isn't it a Chicago Challenge
that the ball DIDN’T go out of bounds, wasn’t the original call that it DID go out of bounds.
by DelawareBerserker on Nov 30, 2008 10:05 PM CST up reply actions
No
The original call was that it didn’t go out of bounds and the Bears recovered it.
The ref said that it DID go out of bounds, so it’s Minnesota ball.
