Marcus McCauley?

Does anybody know what has happened to this guy?  He played in all of our games last year, but I don't think has seen the field this year.  I was personally hoping he would be a guy to make a big stride in his sophomore year and hopefully take over for Cedric, or at least be able to give those guys a breather.  Don't get me wrong, I like Charles Gordon, but why has this guy dropped to the bottom of the depth chart?

Chilly holed?

Since Chilly can obviously evaluate talent at the highest of levels (hasn’t he said so himself?), he has evaluated that McCauley is more useful as a water boy. For more cunning examples of his supreme vision in evaluating talent, look no further than the Jackson/Ferotte, Tapeh/Tahi (why didn’t we resign Richardson again???).

Also, didn’t Chilly decide to have easy breezy low contact practices this preseason as well? How is that working out for the Vikings this year?

I’ll agree with you that Childress is a bit egotistical when it comes to his abilities, but you can’t blame the softer practice on all the injuries. That’s like comparing apples to oranges. Even if there had been more pads in practice, those guys would still have been hurt in hte games they played. It doesn’t make sense to pin the blame on soft practices. Injuries happen to every team, whether they play in pads during their practices or not.

I agree with Frost on this one. If their practices were harder and these players still had gotten hurt, would you have said that it was because Childress over worked them in practice?

Injuries

The reason that Chilly had soft practices was specifically to reduce injuries this year. Has it worked out like he predicted? Thats all I am saying.
