We just got through the easy part, how will it go now?
Well, I am pretty stoked about the win over the Greenbay Hackers. Given, it shouldn't have been so close, but a win is a win. So, now that we are tied for 1st, but lose the tie breaker, it made me wonder how the beloved purple would make it to the playoffs. Obviously, the best chance is to win the division, but there is an outside shot at a wildcard also.
So, here is the rest of the schedule and from what I can see the next three games are critical to our chances. Other than Detroit, none of these teams are givens and if Detroit is desperate, you never know what they will through at you. If we beat CHI, TB and ATL we will have evened or have the tie breakers. So, looking at the schedule below, what do you think the Vikes will do the rest of the season and comment on what you see is the biggest threat.
MIN @ TB
Currently 6-3 and coming off a bye
MIN @ JAC
Currently 4-5 and about to play the Titans
CHI @ MIN
Currently 5-4 and will play @GB and @St. Louis
MIN @ DET
well, I sure hope they win before we meet again, but they could very well be winless. @Carolina, TB and then the Titans.
MIN @ AZ
Currently 5-3, SF tomorrow....they should still be a winning team by the time they play
ATL @ MIN
Currently 6-3, Who is this Matt Ryan kid
NYG @ MIN
Current Champs and while I would love it if history repeats a third time, I don't see Manning flopping over and giving us another game....we will have to earn it.

this is gonna be tough
You didn’t even mention we might be without the Williams wall for 4 of those 7 games. If Roger Goodell really has the nerve to suspend two of our most important players in a stretch run like this just because of a WEIGHT LOSS pill…ugh I’m gonna be pissed. Knowing Goodell and how big of a prick he is, he will. That situation right there could decide our season.

9-7 HANDS DOWN!
The Bucs, Bears, Jags, Giants, Cards, Falcons… omg. if we can come outta that only losing 3 times its a gift from god. We gotta get our stuff together and hope we can go 9-7 and win the division. I think we will. But what i think doesn’t matter. They just have to do it.

My prediction
The Vikings will end the season at 8-8. Those two last games give me the heebie jeebies. I want the Vikings to do great more than anything, but I don’t see it happening with Chilly and Gus

dont forget that the giants may have it all locked up by the last week and will play the backups not wanting to risk injury to Eli via jared allen.

We have one of the roughest schedules in the league. If we make playoff, which I know we will. It will be a testament as to what we have on this club. Learn to love em people we are on our way.

Tampa Bay, New York, Arizona, hell even Atlanta shockingly. All winnable games but also very loseable as well. the one that scares me the Most is Arizona. Kurt Warner is on fire and can we honestly contain larry Fitzgerald and Anquan boldin. i hope so because that right there is a kick ass offense. New york is another scary one but eli really has a benefit to a pretty easy schedule. best teams they’ve beat are PIT,PHI,and WASH. Eli has not been great an can easily be rattled. I remeber how scared he was at the dog pound, he’ll be hurting at metrodome

No Quit In This Bunch...
One thing I’ll say that this team has in it’s favor is the fact that they don’t quit. They’ve been hit with plenty of adversity this year and guess what? They’re tied for 1st in the division. I’ve watched every game they’ve played with not always happy results and this bunch will fight and claw until the final whistle. The O-line is starting to gel now and Adrian and Chester are reaping the benefits. The defense is playing like we knew they could all along. This is a far different team than it was at the start of the season and if they can eliminate the turnovers, they can make the playoffs.

To add to this...
I have also watched every game and is frustrating as it has been at times, the truth is they have not played a game yet where they were blown out and clearly over matched. Even the Titans game could have gone a completely different way if that 4th down call goes the right way….which happened to be our way.
On this schedule, no team is weak, but no team do I check off as a loss either.
-TB is strong, but can be beat.
-There is something going on in Jaguars land…They have been somewhat bipolar. May have something to do with Williamson being on the roster.
-CHI is division rival, clearly an odd game in the previous meeting….but there is no one that says they dominated us.
-DET is just…well Detriot, but a division rival almost beat us if one PI call doesn’t happen. We better not over look them.
-AZ is explosive, but let’s see if they can keep warner upright.
-ATL is way better than anyone thought. Ryan is for real, but not as good on the road and while I would have to double check, not met a front four like ours in a place as loud as ours.
-NYG is definitely good, but likely they will have wrapped up a bye week and their division by that game. They may not be playing for much. But even if they are, we have always matched up well with them.
Bottom line, we could win all of these games just as we could have won our previous, but will we. I can only hope that Frerrotte just had his worse game and it had nothing to do with the magnitude of the game. If he can stop the sloppy play, we will be in every game we play.
Unless of course, the Williams brothers get suspended and devistate our interior line.

Williams Wall
When has Goodell drag his feet this long, more so when the Vikes are concerned(Mount)! I really cant believe that tandem is trying to hide drug use,but more like those 10 buckets of KFC weekends.Plus the Hotline not being so Hot and the Fact Starcaps pulled their product because an ingrident wasnt listed.I sse a Mulligan be given here.

Williams Wall
If we lose the williams wall, all bet are off, we need those guys, we already are without E.J., Our season will go in the tank if Pat And Kevin can’t play, the comish, will wait to see if are in the hunt for the playoffs, and then susspend these guys, just to help the pack get into the playoffs, his underpants are green and gold

week to week
I know it is the old cliche, take em one week at a time, but with this years’ Viking team it sure seems like the right way to look at the remainder of the year. Look at how the majority of the Viking’s games have gone so far and their record could easily be 7-2 or even 3-6. These games have been decided mainly by turnovers and special teams plays(giving the Bears 14 pts).
So really any team poses a threat. Remember the Lion’s game? Yes, a win is a win.
Arizona IS for real this year, their offense is potent as long as old man Warner stays healthy. That will be a tough game in Arizona. In years past when the Vikings came to AZ, it was like a Minnesota home game with more purple in the stands than red. Not going to be the case this year.
By the way, Anquan Bolden wants out of Arizona and the Cards can’t give him the money he deserves because of the huge contract they gave Fitzgerald. I think he would look good wearing a PURPLE #81 jersey next season…..give him a call Ziggy!

Man i agree 110% I love anquan boldin. he is a beast. i mean he had a face fracture then two weeks later hes out playing just as hard. if we had anquan on our team this year it would be over. the guy is easily gonna be a hall of famer…bring him in im all for that

Dallas will take him. He’s not going to want to come here to a franchise that has no idea who the QB is going to be next year. It will be a Kevin Curtis all over again. We’ll throw a ton of money at him, but he’ll play where he has a chance to win.
