Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

For the Vikes to be in the game

I think TJ needs to start this week. They have no game film on TJ and I see griffin getting burned 2 tds in first half.If the Wall suspension gets upheld this week, guessing by thursday we will know.Opens up the run game which is even worse then Griffen covering anyone, add in Sapp and that spells TROUBLE.We need youth this game, young legs no aches and pains.Cant play this game on hold, they are shooting for our spot, big guns coming. They are going to try make this a shoot out,and TJ gives us our best chance atm.

Why does a lack of game film on TJ matter? Why don’t we start Booty, who has even less game film for opposing teams to study?

Game film doesn’t matter much when deciding who to start at QB. If you’re talking about changing the offensive scheme, fine, game film matter. But with TJ, we aren’t changing the offensive scheme, we are severely downsizing it. I would think opposing teams would have a much easier time with this.

UGH? is everyone forgetting we have the BEST RB in the LEAGUE!

The cardinals let up a nice 96.5 rushing yards a game! For Chestor Taylor and A.P, thats like christmas. I don’t think the cards are much on defense, a nice secondary but a team we’ll move the ball against. Look at what the jets did to them. Sure Brett Favre compared to T-Jack or … gus… lol but its a must win game and I see us pulling through.

I don't know speedlod

I’m not sure now is the time to give TJ another starting chance, unless Gus is not ready to go. The playoffs are just too close. I still believe that Gus gives us the best chance to win. Now don’t get me wrong, if TJ does start and he plays good, I will be right alongside of you cheering him up and down. You are right, the Cards will try to make it a shoot out. That’s how they’ve played all year. It is our defense’s job to stop them. We have got to put pressure on Warner from the first snap. This game is PAYBACK TIME for the bogus 2003 loss that knocked us out of the playoffs.

If Gus...

If Gus would have stayed in and the Vikings beat the Lions, absolutely no one would be talking about this. At the very least, not even near amount we’re at now.

Very true Manimal.

The other end of that argument is… if Gus had stayed in, would we have even won??

I personally think that TJ is no upgrade over Gus, but we might as well get Frerotte healthy for the final two games instead of hurrying him into getting knocked out of yet another game.

No, if Gus had stayed in and we beat the Lions, I’d still be bitching about how many ints he threw in the game, consider that more than half their interceptions this year have come courtesy of Gus.

What about?

other QB’s in the league throwing INT’s. It’s a stat that’s going to happen to any QB. A lot of the time it’s his fault, but a lot of those INT’s were because of the chemistry between QB and receiver. Not too mention some being tipped our fluke INT’s.

by vikingfiend on Dec 10, 2008 9:13 PM CST up reply actions

Yes, I know ints happen, but good QBs don’t have more interceptions than TDs. I know some of Gus’ have been tipped, I can think of at least two, but the rest are pretty much bad decisions or bad throws. The guy’s been in the league for 13 or 14 years, he should know when and when not to throw by now.

We have

AZ,Atlanta and the Giants, out of all those games AZ is the one TJ should play and let ferret rest.By not having film, they cant prepare for TJs tells.Like in poker, every player gives themselves away.If TJ plays well it will boost his confidence if Ferret goes down remaining 2 games.Plus lets face it ferret might not be here next year,he has been taking a beating so far.
IF we win 1 of the next 3 and chicago loses 1 we are in.Gb cant even compete with us.Even if GB wins out their best record is 8-8.If bears win 2 and lose 1 9-7 unless of course they win out 10-7 then we need win 2 out of 3.We have to keep up with the Bears.Nice thing is they play Thursday nite with the Saints.Plus theres a good chance lets say50% the Wall wont be in.
When you know a QB is dinged up,you go after him, which is what they will do if Ferrets in.

Your argument might be more credible if you didn’t spell our starting QB’s name like a small rodent.

Ferret

Is what I have called him since his first stint with us,and if you watch he curls up in a ball like a Ferret when getting sacked.Sorry if ya dont like my nick name for him.
