My thoughts on today's game.
This is quite early but I have to get this done since the game is still strong in my memory. First off, congradulations to Peterson for a record setting day. Peterson got the ball 28 times for 165 yards. This is his fifth game this season with over 150+ yards rushing a game. The Cardinals run defense truly showed why they're dead last in that statistic. Don't forget Chestor Taylor touched the ball 10 times for another 66 yards in our offense "kick ass" performance.
Finally, our special teams came out of the wood work and performed. Berrian had a nice punt return early in the first quarter and set the pace for our dominate offense later on in the first quarter.
After much of the opinions coming from the QB situation I will for now, keep my mouth shut in respect for a proving Tavaris Jackson. He shut a lot of us up today and I can't argue with his performance. I just wish he'd put the ball more in the air. 4 TD's however, and I can't complain much about his performance. He came out today set to win. Good job for him.
Congradulations on a new thread record Viking friends. I was going through the SBN football sites and the other sites didn't even come close. What a great community Gonzo has started. I'm proud to be top 5 for my 101 "kick ass" comments.

T-Jack’s numbers speak for themselves, all 135.5 of ’em :)
If he can play like that all the time, with consistency, I think the Vikes could go all the way.
The game wasn’t on here, but from all the reviews I’m reading and the way the numbers stack up, it looks like T-Jack gave the ball up to the best RB tandem pair in the NFL the way he should be, and when he passed, he made it count and kept the Cards honest. He doesn’t have to pass 30 times in a game for us to win, this was a whole-team effort and whole-team win, offense and defense.
Here’s to seeing a lot more of this, for the next 5 games this year :)

Dominating Performance...
by the Vikings defense against one of the top passing attacks in the league. They pressured Warner all day and there were times when the camera showed his face that he had that look of wanting to retire. The secondary was solid in their coverage and made several open field tackles on the Cardinal receivers limiting their yards after catch. The only breakdown was the first drive after the half. Kudos also for the offense. T-Jack was superb in leading the team (4 TD passes) and the running game never looked better. I still believe we have the best 1-2 punch in the league in A.P. and Chester. Finally, all of that money thrown to Jared and Bernard this year is now paying off HUGE. Don’t stop now guys. The finish line is in sight.

The Wrap on Tavaris
I’ve always felt he was judged based on what fans had wanted from a quarterback rather than what should have been expected from basically a 1 year starter. I’ve understand others, who like had suffered through Dante’s running around by himself and dropping the ball (B. Johnson’s 15 yd arm and Bollingers fetal position). It was time we had quarterback play, we moved up to get him – what gives?
But the fact remains that in 17 games started over his career, T Jack is 9-8. 9-8 with no receivers to throw to last year, receivers dropping passes earlier this year, and a coach whose play calling would handicap a more experienced player regardless. He has never been turnover prone and made very few game changing mistakes.
He can be the franchise quarterback we’ve been waiting for. He needs his opportunities, time and a little faith. I am glad he is back in the line-up despite it being because of an injury. Here’s to him staying there!

Let’s keep Gus on the roster, even if he’s not starting. He’s clearly helping Jackson to develop a little bit.
