Why won't they just let this die?
Apparently, the NFL has asked an appeals court to reconsider Judge Magnuson's decision to block the Starcaps players suspensions. Seriously, this close to the playoffs? Are you joking? Its such bullshit. I don't see them getting the appeal, but the possibility of it is enough to upset me. Goodell is clearly not happy with how the Vikings' defense has been playing since the suspensions were blocked, and perhaps he's afraid they could contend for a SB appearance. Wouldn't that be a slap in the face.

because
Goodell have ax to grind with us. We have been getting chop block, and there isn’t any fine.
Penalties Should Work Both Ways
If the courts find in favour of the Star-caps guys, Goodall should have to pay a fine from his paycheck, directly to each of the players :)
Because it would negate existence.
This is just like the movie Dogma. If you haven’t seen it this won’t make any sense, but bear with me. Roger Goodell believes the NFL is based on one fact—that it is God and ruler of the entire sports landscape and is completely infallible. To prove the NFL wrong would be like proving God wrong, and thus negate existence. Allowing the Williams Wall to play is just like letting Ben Affleck and Matt Damon pass through the arch in the movie. He can’t let it happen.

Good thing the Williams are way more awesome than Affleck and Damon.
They’ll get through the arch.
