THE GIANTS AREN'T COMING TO WIN!!!

Why does almost every person commenting the playoffs or anything relating the week 17 match-up at home, think the Giants are coming to, i don't know, prove a point? Get a better SEEDING?! LOL What is clicking in everyone's minds to make them think the Giants, who have comfortably secured the 1st seed and home field through out, are going to come into Minnesota and play us to the vary last snap as hard as they can! AND if thats not the case, can you really think we suck that bad to think they're starters will run it up in the 1st half, giving their second string enough room to have fun and toy around with us?! GET OUTTA HERE!

A) and my only note on the Falcons game, shoulda won, woulda won, coulda won. Go job Atlanta and Matt Ryan you got 4 of our 6 fumbles and beat us by 7. Can't wait til some how Carolina loses and Atlanta gets the 3rd seed, cuz after we kill a bad Bucs team, we gonna kill you Matt Ryan...

B) The G-Men are not coming to 'Run it up on us!' As if they even could. We're better than the Giants all around. No Jacobs. They gonna rest their banged up players... at home; it just looks like a win.

C) I don't think the Bears will beat the Texans at home... Plain and simple. I like Texans Offense, over Bears Offense.

So, how does it end? Can't wait to see all the pessimistic votes lol

I love the purple...

But I have a problem with you stating that we’re better than the Giants all around— especially without Pat/EJ.

When Osi and Plax are out for the season and Pat/EJ are healthy, we may have more talent, but even then— they’re the champs.

Do you remember week 17 last year?

The Giants played the Patriots as hard as they could. Turned out well for them, too. They might have lost that game, but they went on to win the Superbowl. Somehow, I doubt Tommy in New York will rest many people considering they already get one whole week off anyway.

So will they come to “run up the score?” No, of course not. But they will be playing to win. That’s my prediction anyway. The Vikings CAN win, I just am unsure which team will show up.

Exactly what I was thinking

We’ll probably see a Giants team resting some banged up starters, but I find it hard to believe that they’ll rest all of them.

Do you remember when we killed last years SB Champs in New York?!

Funny how noone forgets 98’ but the last 2 times we’ve played the Giants we’ve beat them down… badly. We are better.

You stated it yourself...

This year’s Vikings are not the same as last years’ Vikings.

This year’s Giants are not the same as last years’ Giants.

Last years Giants were extremely hot in the playoffs. This years have been consistently great all year.

Different years, different stories. All I have commented on is the Vikings seemingly never-ending bad luck, year to year.

Gah, stupid grammar.

Meant “last year’s” on both sentences. Wasn’t paying attention.

And I remember the, what was it ’03, playoffs where they just slaughtered us in the Meadowlands >:(

If the vikes come to play

They can beat the Giants straight up. If they make mistakes like last week they could easily lose to second stringers. Tjack had 80+ more yards than the entire atlanta offense and we still managed to lose. The vikes just need to worry about beating themselves.

I live in New York

Trust me the Giants won’t take it easy on anyone. And they won’t be sitting anyone out.

This game is gonna be a hard one, but I think with no turnovers we can win this thing and make the north ours.

actually

I would be willing to bet they’ll rest Brandon Jacobs.

This should decide it for you.

If you’re the Giants coming into the Dome this weekend, you know you have a chance to knock out the Vikings on Sunday and allow the Bears to take their place in the playoffs.

Let me ask you this: if you’re the Giants, would you rather have the Vikings or the Bears as a possible matchup in the NFC Championship? Hmm, let’s see, a team with the single greatest talent in the league and a defense designed to stop the thing you do best (running the ball), or a team that relies completely on special teams, luck, and pass interference penalties?

I rest my case. The Giants are coming to win on Sunday. If we beat them, we’ll have earned it.

It really is about the Giant, is it?

Atlanta showed up and did its thing. It was hardly a winning performance. The Vikings forced that Victory on the Falcons.

Actually when Carolina loses, and We win.....

we will be the 2nd seed. Bye, then at home. I posted before that yes you guys let us win that game. I just don’t want you to think we played a great game, that you handed us. That was one of the worst games Matt Ryan has had. Turner wasn’t running his norm either. Both teams played badly, you guys just put the ball on the turf. I think NY is in for a firestorm Sunday though. You guys have a very good team, and Jackson is a keeper.

I think Tampa bay has to lose too. . . but Atlanta would have a tie-breaker over us via the head-to-head because we’d have identical records.
