Ferguson Released
Judd Zulgad on the Report
The Vikings waived wide receiver Robert Ferguson today in order to get their roster to 53 players. The team signed defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy on Wednesday after Kevin and Pat Williams were suspended. But with the Williamses now reinstated, the roster was at 54 players. Ferguson’s departure took care of that issue. (By the way, both Pat and Kevin Williams declined to speak to reporters.)
Ferguson, signed late in training camp in 2007, had caught only three passes for 25 yards this season and was inactive for four games. He suited up for Sunday night’s game against Chicago after not playing in the previous four games.
Childress said he could bring Ferguson back if the Williamses ended up being suspended again in the coming days. “I talked to him about a few different things,” Childress said.

O WELL...
This was the player that wanted out anyway, correct? He wasn’t too active on the team so why keep him around.
