Judge blocks suspensions

just saw on ESPN that the judge says he needs more time to go over the information. So looks like everyone plays this week-end ,but will it hurt us "when" we make the play-offs. I  hope this comes back to slap Goodell in the chops. I have a good feeling about the exposure this case is getting. I think the fans are getting tired of Goodell ruling the NFL like a dictaor. Skol Vikings

Let's Hope

Things continue to go our way – we need these boys for the rest of the season AND when we reach the playoffs! SKOL VIKINGS!!

Should go our way

Judge noted there was no Steroids involved in this case.Believe this will hinge on the fact that the NFL knew a substance they banned was in a product and did not reveal information.I see the Suspensions getting thrown out,but will there be repercussions if the Wall wins.

wah f-ing hoo!

the judge trashed the nfl lawyers in the hearing. it is no guarantee that nfl won’t get it’s way which would ruin our playoff run, but it is a start. the judge said there is no evidence that any of the players used steroids and this case is about steriods.

Watch the refs...

on Sunday. As any Viking fan will tell you they have been rather petty (HUGE understatement here) with their calls against us the last few years. I’ve only noticed in the past couple of weeks where they’ve let up a bit. I don’t want to think this but with the egg on the face of the NFL right now, you may see the absurd by the zebras….let’s hope not.

I liked this quote by the judge. “Justice cannot be served this way.” THANK YOU! I don’t think they have any prior steroid use record, so I doubt they decided to up and mask some steroids they randomly decided to take. Its complete BS for there to be a suspension over this. I’d feel the exact same way about this if it was Tom Brady or Peyton Manning, hell even Aaron Rodgers, being in the same situation. The League really needs to rethink this whole process out.

I mean, there has to be some sort of method to test for steroids that gets past a masking agent. Obviously it wouldn’t be your average piss test, but some other test they could administer. Because right now, they can’t prove that, without reasonable doubt, the Williams had the intent to mask steroids.

Win Now

I understand the concept of prefering to have The Wall suspended now vs. miss a playoff game, but I’m of the mindset that the playoffs aren’t gauranteed. We’re a worse team without these two, and our chances to beat any team, even Detroit, diminish greatly.

I’m glad they get to play Sunday, but I hope they get to play after Detroit as well.

I’m with SpeedLod: The NFL doesn’t have the obligation to test everything for banned substances. However, 1. They knew players were taking StarCaps, 2. They discovered that StarCaps had a banned substance, 3. They kept quiet. At best, that’s misfeasance.

I read a line in an article where the Wall’s lawyer said they even tried calling the NFL hotline but got no response. I’d love, love, LOVE it if they can pull phone records/voice mails proving this.

GO VIKES!!!

This is far from a victory

If this were poker we are now “all in”. The judge having postponed this judgment and delayed any pending suspension has put us in a precarious place in that if we lose the Wall now it’s gone for at least one playoff game. Going 2-2 without them seemed … possible but winning in the playoffs without them does not.

We are now past the point of no return, let us hope for the love of all things purple that this ruling comes down in our favor.

The Fix Is In

An impartial ? MINNESOTA judge rules Williams brothers elligeable for what probabably will be the rest of the season. Me thinks something smells fishy in Norseland. Also since someone tested positive for the banned substance in Starcaps in 2006, one would think the word have been spread around the league so as not to use. Apparently some organizations dropped thed ball.

I think it was you in the other post, but like I said, they probably filed for the injunction in a Minnesotan court since its the state where they are employed. It wouldn’t make sense for them to have filed their case in some other state, especially since this has an effect on their employment which resides in the state of Minnesota.

My appologies eo Judge Larson. I do not really question your abilty to ipartially rule in this matter. It is a tuff call in this matter.
