Pro Football Talk is reporting that Adam Caplan is reporting that the Vikings are working out the parameters of a contract with S Madieu Williams, late of the Cincinnati Bengals.

Great move by the Vikes, also, it is being reported they have agreed to terms with FB Thomas Tapeh...So far so good with these signings.

Beat to the punch

San Fran's got Justin Smith coming there first. Hopefully we can convince him to hold off signing until he gets to Winter Park.

I don't know about Justin Smith... he's had some productive years, but in the last year he only had 2 sacks. Is he worth throwing a lot of money at, or is it just the result of a weak DE class? We need to improve our pass rush, but wouldn't we be better suited getting a younger guy in the draft who still has some years of production left in him? Grigsby, Edwards and Robison all showed promise, so we're not completely lost. Plus Mayock doesn't have a single WR with a first round grade. My vote is DE in first round, let San Fran have Smith, and then WR in the second

DE is a dicey position to draft

Udeze and James are prime example of this. James really hasn't had a shot because he has been injured the whole time and Udeze while he is fine he is also nothing special.
