Taylor may be moving North

But not to the Twin Cities unfortunately. This was in the FanBall Newsbreakers update which is getting it's info from the Green Bay Gazette.

Taylor to the Packers?
The News
It appears the Dolphins may be getting what they want as the Green Bay Packers are reported to have contacted Miami concerning their ability to trade for the services of defensive end Jason Taylor , according to the Green Bay Press Gazette.
Our View
With defensive end Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila rehabbing the knee that was operated on in the offseason, the Packers have made an exploratory inquiry with the Miami Dolphins about Taylor. The Dolphins continue to show interest in keeping Taylor, but Taylor has said in the past that he would like to play one more season with a team that has a good chance of winning the Super Bowl.

Good!

Just what the Pack crew needs is a “Me first” type of player that wants to put in one – more – year. That should help the morale of the players. Let him dance his sorry butt up there.

Meh...

I don’t see it happening. Just a rumor and a chance for the media to paint Green Bay in a positive light. Even if he is traded there, the Vikes will sweep ‘em in ‘08.

Hey, you know that Jason Taylor to Green Bay rumor?

According to ProFootballTalk. . .not so much, no.

Can’t say I blame him. . .I wouldn’t want to play for a team with a schlub like Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, either.

Hell, Culpepper even rejected their offer. Now either he didn’t think he’d make it as the starter given the competition, which I doubt, or he recognizes what a shitty offense they have without Favre. . . or he finally realized that the reports of Randy Moss possibly going to Green Bay were from last year, not this year.
