Thursday Night Insanity

No football stuff tonight. . .going to try to get back into the roster breakdown tomorrow at some point. But for now, I want to give you a little Youtube-based entertainment.

If any of you out there have ever played any of the Guitar Hero games, you know exactly how insane this video clip is. This is a guy that goes by the name of "chris4life" playing Through the Fire and Flames by the band Dragonforce. This is the last song on Guitar Hero III, and I actually had it as the song on the official Daily Norseman MySpace page for a while. To give you a gauge of exactly how hard it is, I have a hell of a time playing it on easy mode when you only have to worry about three buttons and about half the speed. This guy is playing on the hardest difficulty setting and. . .well, I'll just let you watch it.

Medium?

Gonzo – If you’re playing medium you’re using 4 buttons. Easy is the first 3. My younger bro is just about as good as this guy at Guitar Hero – needless to say he’s played it a lot.

Vikesfaninchina – Those notes are “hammer ons” – you don’t need to strum on those.

I meant “Easy.” (-:

I played it through the first time on Easy, and meant to go through it on Medium, but I’ve gotten into too many different games since then (Assassin’s Creed, Mass Effect, and now Ninja Gaiden II). I’m gonna have to sit down with GH III again one of these days.

I've beat it on Medium

And now I’m done with GH3. I don’t even want to try it on Hard.

Besides, Rock Band is more fun.

I'd love to get Rock Band

But at this point I can’t justify dropping $170 on a video game. Heck, I have a hard enough time justifying $60 for the ones I pick up every few months or so.

Well, that’s why I bought it as the game only. The 360 Mic works with it if it’s plugged into a controller, and the GH3 guitar works too.

Super Bowl

We finally are going to win the Super Bowl. Dr. Z at Sports Illustrated says on todays website that he is picking our Vikes. The down side is he picked Atlanta last year and look what happened to their coach and qb.
