Tampering with Favre?
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8351554/Sources:-Packers-say-Vikings-tampered-with-Favre
"In the latest twist, the Packers have filed tampering charges with the league office against the Minnesota Vikings for alleged communication with Favre, still technically a member of Green Bay, FOXSports.com has learned. The league, according to a source, is currently in information-gathering mode, speaking to members of both teams."
This is a bit troubling...What are you thoughts?

No big deal
Darrel Bevell, our OC, is good friends with Favre, and they still keep in touch. IMO they were just talking as friends and the Pack is trying to take advantage of the situation. Maybe to send a message or just be jerks, I don’t know. I honestly don’t think the Vikes would be pursuing Favre. Childress has been pretty clear that Jackson is the starter.
This looks like it’s turning into a train wreck for Green Bay.

You’d like to think that the Vikings organization would be smart enough not to do ANYthing close to breaking the tampering rules…It’ll be interesting to see how this one plays out. I’m only hoping that it wont cost us any draft picks!!!
Personally, I wouldn’t want anything to do with Farve at this point anyway…

As it's been pointed out in the media
San Francisco left a message on Drew Rosenhaus’ answering machine, a call that was NOT returned, and the NFL took their 5th round pick and forced them to switch 3rd round picks with the Bears. All for Lance Briggs.
Given the media circus spinning around Favre, and the complete lack of evidence used in the previous penalty, I think the fine would be much much higher.

I'll get to this this evening
Sufficient to say, I think it’s a load of crap.

Ted Thompson is a genius
Just as our fears come into fruition, the saga has now spread and become a Vikings problem. My thoughts on the subject have led me to conclude that I wish this stuff would just stay in Wisconsin and fester there all season, but please don’t let continue to cross the border.
My complete thoughts are over at Vikings Valhalla written in:
The Story That Won’t Die: Allegations of Tampering
I look forward to yours tonight Gonzo.
It may take a village to raise a child, but it takes a Viking to raze a village.

You know. .
I recall back in the first GB game, Favre said he’d give his left thumb to have Adrian Peterson on his team. Can we file tampering against GB because he was clearly trying to get AD to join the Packers? It’s about as strong of a case, right?
