Colts play Vikings in Superbowl XLIII???
NFL Predictions anyone? I have take upon myself to live through the season. Thoughts and opinions?
AFC East-Patriots (duh go figure)
AFC North-Picking the Steelers to win it with Cleveland close behind
AFC South-Colts win division, Jags make wild card.
AFC West-Chargers win division, no one else close.
2nd wild card either goes to Cleveland or Houston(yes the texans). Tennessee will suck this year and nobody else challenges in the other divisions.
NFC East-Giants. Screw the "trendy" Cowboys pick. The Giants won the superbowl and are still getting looked over.WTH.
NFC North-Vikings. Packers without favre will end in the crapper. Can anyone name a quality starter on the Bears? LOL-LIONS!
NFC South-Saints. Many improvements by NO. Shockey on O and Vilma on D. TB has suspect qb and rb. Carolina is not great.
NFC West-Rams. Cripple fight anyone? Anyone can win this division. IF STL stays healthy and Jackson is Jackson then its theirs.
wild cards go to Cowboys and Eagles. 3 teams out of the East make the playoffs.
Playoff Ranking
AFC
(1) Patriots
(2) Colts
(3) Chargers
(4) Steelers
(5) Jaguars
(6) Browns (im leaning to them more)
Wild Card Games
(3) Chargers beat (6) Browns with relative ease.
(5) Jaguars beat (4) Steelers in a come from behind upset.
Divisional Games
(1) Patriots defeat the (3) Chargers in an epic game.
(2) Colts take care of the (5) Jaguars for the third time this season
Championship Game
(2) Colts and (1) Patriots as it should be take it to overtime and the Colts punish the Patriots secondary while the Patriots decide to pound the ball on the ground. Both teams exposing each others weaknesses. The difference being that the Colts strength is passing and the Patriots cant run the ball too well. Colts win Superbowl 42 1/2
NFC
(1) Giants
(2) Vikings
(3) Saints
(4) Rams
(5) Cowboys
(6) Eagles
Wild Card Games
(5) Cowboys get over the hump and beat the (3) Saints
(6) Eagles surprise everyone and take care of the (4) Rams
Divisional Games
(6) Eagles and mobile McNabb scramble about and defeat the (1) Giants in a close one.
(2) Vikings and Adrian Peterson run over the (5) Cowboys as T.O cries and Romo fumbles and Wade Phillips is fired. go figure.
Championship Game
(6) Eagles and (2) Vikings??? Are you kidding me? This is the Championship game? (2) Vikings keep up the form that got them here and again run against the (6) Eagles. Vikings make their first ever Superbowl!
Superbowl
(2) Colts play (2) Vikings for Superbowl XLIII
The battle tested Colts handle the Vikings in a thrilling game in which both teams have the lead. Colts have Superbowl number 2 in 3 years

We are 0-4 in previous Superbowls. Yes, we’ve made it that many times. Yes, they’ve all been heartbreaking. Far worse than 41-0

Wat happens then, Would The Colts even go to the Playoffs.
wat if peyton gets injured. We have good backups in key postions, but if Peyton goes down, would the Colts even make the playoffs.

We starting the season of at least 2-0 this season. It would be nice for the Colts And Vikings to start a new rival. The Packers rival is getting old, and they suck. We taking over the NFC NORTH this season rather you cheeseheads like it or not.

ok nice post but here is what i see
Remember im from new england but i think minnesota is going to be that “it” team this year
AFC EAST- Pats-Jets-Bills-Fins
AFC North- Browns- Steelers- Ravens- Bengals
AFC South- Colts- Jags- Texans- Titans
AFC West- Chargers- Raiders- Broncos- Chiefs
Wildcard: Steelers and Raiders
NFC East- Eagles- Giants- Cowboys- Redskins
NFC North- Vikings- Packers- Bears- Lions
NFC South- Panthers- Saints- Bucs- Falcons
NFC West- Seahawks- 49ers- Rams- Cardinals
Wildcard: Giatns and Saints
Wildcard Round:
(3)Chargers over the (6) Raiders
(5) Steelers over (4) Browns
(3) Vikings over the (6) Saints
(5) Giants over the (4) Panthers
Divisonal Round:
(2) Colts over the (3)Chargers
(1) Patriots over the (5) Steelers
(3) Vikings over the (2) Eagles
(1) Seahawks over the (5) Giants
Championship Weekend:
(1) Patriiots over the Colts
(3) Vikings over the Seahawks
Patriots over the Vikings…
The reason why I have a few surprise teams….
The Seahawks play a weak schedule in what I believe is the worst division in football. They will go 6-0 in the division and 6-4 elsewhere…12-4 in the NFC is a number one seed
The Raiders are going to be the AFC’s surprise. Again, every year the AFC provides one team that comes up strong. I think Russell and McFad will be a good combo. The defens is good enough to get this team to the playoffs as they pick on the last place team from last year.
The Vikings will only get better. The two headed monster in the backfield. If they get Brett Favre, it makes this team get head and shoulders over the NFC North competiiton. The defense is so nasty that I selected them last night in the fifth round of my fantasy draft.
Carolina will be better just believe me. Delhomme will finally stay healthy which means Steve Smith is a target.

So you dont have the Jaguars making the Playoffs, are you kidding me. I would take the Raiders out, and put the Jaguars in that spot. Other than that, i’m fine with your prediction except for the superbowl. The patriots still has a huge bullseye on them. There is a vey good chance they will make it, but also there is a very good chance they want.

Why predicting playoff contenders never works
I look at the above lists and just laugh. Not because I could make a better one myself, but rather at how silly making lists is when you look at the last 6 years of football. About half the teams are usually ones that didn’t make it the previous year. There are always surprises. Nobody ever picks them right. Using logic only gives you a slightly better chance that guessing near randomly. Anyways, here’s mine…
NFC (by regular season record)
1) Giants
2) Vikes
3) Buccaneers
4) Dallas
5) Cardinals
6) Packers
AFC
1) Chargers
2) Patriots
3) Jags
4) Browns
5) Colts
6) Ravens
Not going to try to guess how my fictional playoff bracket shakes out, but I’d sure like to see the Vikings climb to the top. I really like the Chargers this year too (who doesn’t). Chargers and Vikings have to be the top two teams in just all around raw physical talent.

Vikings In The Superbowl
I gotta say, I was born and raised in Mora Minnesota. I have seen the best Vikings teams play. Remember when they played outside? I miss that alot. Anyway, I am a diehard, purple bleeding, Viking Logo tattooed, live and die for Vikings fan. As much as I hate to say it I just don’t see Tavaris Jackson taking our beloved Purple Gang to the Superbowl and winning it, like I said, I hate to say it but I don’t see it happening. Now don’t everyone jump on me for this or maybe I desreve it we’ll see. What if for some strange reason Brett came to the Vikings for 2 years, wouldn’t Tavaris learn alot from him? It seemed to work for Brad Johnson holding the clipboard for a few years, no, he didn’t win the Superbowl but he was a better QB than I think Tavaris is now. Give your thoughts on this, just be nice. Thanks for this site, I read it every day. It’s great!
