Bryant McKinnie To Be Suspended??
Sirius NFL Radio is reporting that Bryant McKinnie is about to be suspended 4 games for violating the League's Conduct Policy. I have not been able to back it up with a link, but the Radio network is obviously associated with the League and in most cases is right on the money with their "reports"
This was also posted at ProFootballTalk, but we all know how accurate they can be at times. The fact that NFL Radio is reporting it leads me to believe it is true.....

Nothing anywhere
Nothing on a google news search or the Star Tribune blog where they’d normally be all over this.
Not buying it yet.

Here's something from Judd Zulgad
Report: McKinnie likely to get four games
August 14th, 2008 – 3:38 PM by Judd Zulgad
MANKATO — Vikings left tackle Bryant McKinnie had little reaction this afternoon to a report by Sirius NFL Radio that he is likely to be suspended for four games for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
"I don’t know about that," McKinnie said as he walked off the practice field. McKinnie is subject to possible disciplinary action by the NFL as a repeat offender of the league’s conduct policy. He met with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell in early June.
Although we don’t get Sirius NFL Radio here in Mankato, a reader put a comment on an earlier Access Vikings blog about the report. We checked with a spokesman from Sirius and he confirmed the station has been reporting the McKinnie information on its updates.
McKinnie’s latest off-the-field incident occured in February when he got into a brawl outside a Miami nightclub. He faces four charges from that incident, including one felony. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges. His next court date is scheduled for Sept. 24 in Miami-Dade County Court.
A Vikings official said the team can’t comment on the matter and that any statement would have to come from the NFL. We’re awaiting a return e-mail on the matter from the league.
UPDATE: An NFL spokesman responded to our e-mail saying the report by Sirius is speculation and that the league has made no announcements.

Still not buying it yet
That new conduct policy was supposed to be for incident going forward from when it was passed this summer. A suspension February incident that hasn’t even gone to court yet will be appealed and has every reason to be overturned.

+1
Really I think the league would wait until after this has gone to court. I’m guessing it’s speculation if he is convicted of the charges not something that’s coming down. If convicted then yes, he deserves the suspension but since it hasn’t gone to court the that’s bull crap to suspend him for something that may turn out to be nothing.
Peyton's good but have you ever heard of Jeff George?
