I've gotten word from my supervisor that the mandatory evacuation order for Keesler AFB is going to go out at 0600 tomorrow morning, and that we basically have until 1800 to be out of the local area.  So, my wife and I are going to load up our car here tonight with the stuff that we've had packed up since Thursday night, get some sleep, pack up our computers in the morning, and get the hell out of town.

Mrs. Gonzo and I are heading north to Illinois (ewwwwww. . .Bear country) to stay with some friends near Scott AFB.  I'm not sure what the internet situation is going to be like up there, but since they have a wireless network set up at their house and I'm bringing my own computer, I should be good to go.  But, rest assured, Mrs. Gonzo and I are going to be safe.  I'll keep everyone appraised of the situation as things change and progress.
