Next Update Tomorrow
Sorry, everyone. . .long day here again at the Gonzo compound. But I'll connect my fun from today into my update tomorrow, as well as get everyone caught up on the happenings from the Daily Norseman Fantasy Football League. . .and probably an update on the pick 'em pool, too.
Here's hoping that you enjoy the rest of your evening.

TJ out! Gus in!

Childress Sucks
I thought he was going to stick with TJack until the end????
Now it’s Frerotte this season or death.

I think a scene from Blazing Saddles says it best....
Sheriff Bart – Don’t you realize this is the last act of a desperate man?
Howard Johnson – We don’t care if it’s the first Act of Henry V, we’re leaving.
(sadly, that’s from memory – some people use their brain cells to cure diseases, I apparently memorized Blazing Saddles)
I agree with rocrusso’s 1st point, if the play-calling is going to be the same, what’s the point? All this really does is keep the talkshows and fan base talking about the QB instead of the coaching staff. I guess the one good thing is that now Chilli has zero excuses left, he’s fired his last bullet. If Gus doesn’t pan out, there’s nobody else to blame.

Wow!
Another year, good to great talent, poor leadership from the coaching staff and a 0-2 start….Wow! I have lived and died with the Vikings for 47 years of my 58 year life and each team has finally exploded. I remember listening to the very first home game with my Dad when Fran came off the bench and ran wild, throwing touchdown passes and giving us all hope. I remember hardass Norm Van Brocklin sending Fran to New York and we lost our hope. I remember Bud Grant and Joe Kapp’s first arrival, thinking “who the hell are these guys”. I remember listening to those games in 1969 when the Vikes could not seem to lose then being devastated watching Hank Stram strut up and down the sidelines and the Vikes break our hearts; I still have not gotten over that one. I remember Fran, Sammy White, Tommy Kramer, Chuck Foreman, Eller, Page, Marshall, Larsen, Matt Blair, Chris Carter and I never gave up hope until now. I do not see the light at the end of the tunnel this time; there is no wait until next year, this was suppose to be the year. Childress has about as much football imagination as a stump. He needs to go and hopefully we can see Bill Cougher in the Viking head coach’s job next year.
