Gus Frerotte To Start On Sunday
NFL.com is reporting Brad Childress has made the switch to Gus Frerotte --
Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress turned rumor and speculation into truth on Wednesday, making the switch at quarterback from Tarvaris Jackson to veteran Gus Frerotte.
Childress indicated that the switch would not be temporary, and that Frerotte is now the starter for the Vikings. We’ll have more on this story in this space.
Can Frerotte save the Vikings' season or is it too late???

Well, we can solidify what the issue is now.
If the play calling remains horrendous, we know where the finger will be pointing.
tarvaris
I feel kind of bad for the guy… sure, he didn’t play well, but we all understand how horrible the OC and HC are. This is obviously a job-save attempt by Brad Childress… if Gus has a bit of success in Chilly’s crap of a system, then he can say, “See, it was just our QB… I’m not the problem!” Truth is, he’s the biggest problem. I don’t care what kind of personnel changes he makes… Childress needs to be gone!!
Truth is. . .
If Gus comes in and does well the rest of the year than it was T Jack. I’m not saying that’s going to happen but I do know that Gus has a chance. A solid offensive line in front of him, great running game and decent recievers. I really think Gus gives us a better chance, but time will only tell.
Peyton's good but have you ever heard of Jeff George?
Well of course
That’s obvious but the facts remain:
- The line has been terrible this year in passing situations. They can still run block, but they aren’t giving Jackson any time.
- The play calling sucks
- Bernard Berrian has been very disappointing, unsure if that’s due to injury or what’s going on, but he’s not getting openly like he’s being paid to.
You could plug anyone into this offense and it would look embarassing. I hope for the best, but the whole team and coaching staff needs to get better for any quarterback to have a chance of doing well.

made this decision for Childress. I see what kind of values Childress stands up for….throw the guy that you have been standing by from week 1 under the bus just to save your own a$$. Chillies true colors are about to be revieled when Gus steps in on Sunday.

STUPID!!!
I will eat the crow if I’m wrong, but I don’t think I am. Unfortunately, if we pass more and do well, people will say, “Why couldn’t Tjack do that?” Truth is, it’ll be because we didn’t pass more when he was in. I don’t think there is any way this turns out well for Tjack unless Gus sucks. Clueless is revelaing his inner douchebag. This makes me furious. I hate Clueless more than I ever thought possible three weeks ago.
In AP I trust

Veteran V.S T-Jack?!
Its nice to see something being changed… honestly, gus is great qb but under this offense i don’t see him doing much more then tj. Maybe throwing it instead of running it when he’s panicked but hopefully the vet can lead us to a win we desperately need!!!

Oh Crap
now the season’s really over. Jackson is no doubt the best QB on the roster. Too bad the vikes have a slow, stupid or both head coach. If there going to put in Forrote, or however so spell his name, they should try Bootty out to see what he’s got.
Fire Brad Childress

Your an idiot~
Nothing T-Jack has ever done in the NFL has amounted to what Gus has done as a starter! Gus took Miami in 2005 to 9-7 season throwing 18 TDs and 13 INTS… Jesus, if Frerotte can do that with the Dolphins I can not wait to see what he does with our O-Line, Berrian and all day A.P!!! OMG!

Over/Under - Week 10
Wilf finally gives up on the fantasy that Brad Childress is the second coming of Bill Cowher and cans him?
I’m leaning towards the under.
