Bottom line we should have let Childress interview for the Packers job three years ago. He is not up to speed. Write the season off and get a NFL coach. Brad is Bad!!!

Team looked as though they were not ready to play - on a Monday night opening a season - not ready to play - its all on the coaching. Vikes have an owner willing to go the extra mile but a coach who would not even make a good assistant. Please don't believe he was a coordinator for the Eagles he was in name only.

Vikings have a QB who looks so uncomfortable - looks like he's next for the dentist chair.

Boy, one game and your off the wagon and running for the hills hunh? Why dont you buy a goat and stay up there, and stop bothering everyone. I really dont see Charger, Jaguar, Seahawk, Colt, and EVEN Patriot fans jumping off the wagon yet, but You are the first. Well, congratulations Sir, your the first Idiot! Turn your TV off on Sinday because you dont want to see them play anyway. They need a new coach. They need a new Owner. They need a new stadium but you dont want to pay for that kind of crap.

I have been fan of this team since 1961 – except the games I was out of the country for I have seen the rest. Probably spent more time tailgating at the old Met than you have been alive. – the team has ability but the coach is out of it – those guys were not ready to play. Simple as that – Peterson had 19 touches not enough for his talent. The defense never adjusted to the Packers O line. It goes on and on – glad you enjoy the quality of play – you must be easy.

I agree

but I think that the additional touches should include sweeps, screens, passes in the flats, etc. Stuff that gets All Day out in space where he can beat anyone one on one.

hate that people are calling for Tarvaris’ head. If you don’t like him, that’s fine. I have no problem with that, even if it’s obvious you’re ignoring his performance all night, which had some very good things and some bad things. The main reason is, who are we going to replace him with? The veteran mentor or the rookie who isn’t ready? Wait untill the offseason when we can get a good one at least. Tarvaris is our best option right now.

Koller007, they have the youtube video on the main page with the “embed” code, I don’t know if you can do it with that or not.

We had all offseason

to sign someone to take over for TJ . . . we signed a marginal veteran at best.

I’ll agree that TJ showed some good signs and bad signs last week. He buzzed the ball in there when he needed to sometimes, he made a few mistakes that any veteran QB might make . . . like overthrowing a wide open receiver in the back of the end zone. He may have been given bad plays to run, but in the end he made some ultra irresponsible throws into not double, not triple, but quadruple coverage. The only reason no one remembers them is because the Packers were too busy scratching thier heads in amazement of his stupidity to catch the ball. My main point is that this is the same thing we saw with him last year, he crumbles under pressure.

Many people have been pinning this season on how TJ does. If he would be able to be an average QB we would have a great chance at winning a lot this year. If he shows no intelligible signs of improvement over last year in his decision making . . . well then we have the same result as last year.

But that doesn't change the fact

That it’s him, Gus, or Booty untill the offseason. I definitely like TJ over the other two. Gus is immobile and, as you said, a marginal veteran at best. And Booty… well if we put in Booty that will pretty much signal that we’ve given up on the season, which hopefully we will not have to do, but if we do it won’t be until after we have about 8 losses, which will be a while if it does happen.

All I’m saying is that unless we pull off a trade for a great quarterback (which I seriously doubt will happen, because that would mean Chilly giving up on Tjack by week 6)., Tjack is our best option at QB this year.

OK Village....

I somewhat agree with you on play calling. No mis directions, no nothing. Saying that, Im not ready to throw the coach out with the bath water yet. Let not forget that the Packers are the leagues FAVORITE team. Does anyone remember the obvious pass interference no call? The grabbing and holding of our WRs and D line. It sickens me. The Packers open the Pre season and Home opener at home on national TV. It seems like it happens every year. Can the NFL Network give the Packers any more coverage without it becoming “CHEESE TV”? Didnt Bryant McKinnies trial start two days ago, but hes already been judged guilty by Commissioner Gouda-del? Why do I have to hear EVERY god damn time the Packers play, that their Stadium is the “MECCA” for football fans. The Big trophy is named after a Former Packer coach. Didnt the Packers Fire Lombardi? He coached the Redskins before he died. Did I hear that Bret Favre is the BEST QB to play the game on Monday night multiple times? Did anyone consult Joe Montanna on that comment? Why is it every time the cameras pan the Packers stands, the camera picks up images of some of the fattest, ugly, brat crushing, Jenny Craig hating, vagasil needing womoen I have EVER…and I mean EVER seen. Every corprate pig farm in IOWA combined has less fat than the PIGs that pass through the “MECCA’S” turnstiles. OK Village…………………..what were you talking about?

Which one? You’re going to have to specify. There were so many it’s hard for me to recall every one in detail. Although I do remember the Harris on Wade one. Or maybe I should say “a” Harris on Wade one. There were undoubtedly more than one. Anyway, that one was pretty bad. Oh yeah, and Harris smacking Berrian in the head.
