PRAISE THE EAGLES
A week ago Eagles barely had a chance to make the playoffs. Now the media and philly fans act like they are super bowl bound. They destroyed the Dallas Cowboys, the most troubled team in football. SO WHAT! The Vikes have only lost this year because of their own mistakes, no one has dominated us. And again this Sunday if we turn the ball over, Yeah the Vikes will fall. But dont think for a minute Mc Nabb will be doing his dances and laughing on the sidelines. I like it when we are dismissed as a serious team. SKOL VIKES!!!!

LOL
Your team BARELY and I mean BARELY beat the Giants jock strap holders lol…
E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!
LOL
Your team BARELY and I mean BARELY made the playoffs at all… Also, the Vikings held the lead at halftime against the Giants starters. A win is a win my friend, and we all know the Giants were playing to win.
We actaully had a tough division
Unlike yours which is composed of…well, you know
E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!!!
Call me crazy, but you guys had a pretty easy schedule this year. So you play the Giants and Cowboys twice a year. The Redskins weren’t much of a threat this season, and neither were the Seahawks, 49’ers, Rams, Bengals, or Browns.
True that
You guys did have the NFC Worst, I mean NFC West, this year, while we had to play a division that might be the toughest in football this year, NFC South.
Lower Deck Tickets on 50 yard line behind Vikings bench = $119.00
Parking by the Metrodome = $25.00
Souvenir Soda = $6.50
Being there for 296 = Priceless
+ 1 Joe_D
the nfc east is a total beast

At least we didn't tie the Bengals.
Lame.

I understand that the bengals tie was awful
believe me! It was team that did that… but we did get into the playoffs! and as retarded as this sounds, that tie saved the season because if their kicker makes that last second kick in OT we definitly wouldnt have made the playoffs.
If you can't sell out a playoff game, should you lose the right to have a home game?
supposed to say "my team"
If you can't sell out a playoff game, should you lose the right to have a home game?
Over At GBN
That is the Eagles SB site for anyone who doesn’t know, they’re discussing the winter weather in Tampa Bay and gloating in what someone suspects is the Giant’s fan bases fear of potentially playing them.
This sort of arrogance always makes for a long off season.
But the DVOA?
That second Cowboys game is in no way representative of their level of play on the season.
I take comfort knowing that regardless how ugly, mistake filled and agonizing Vikings games have been this season, they give their opponent a dog fight week in and week out. The idea that Vikings won’t move the ball or score enough to win the game, or that the secondary is going to prove to be the Achilles Heal of the unit and be exposed is laughable.
Not saying McNabb and the Eagles can’t gain yardage through the air, but it is going to come in much smaller chunks than critics of the Vikes secondary seem to understand. Oh, and I am saying they can’t gain yardage on the ground. Skol.
44 to 6 is a win anyway you want to put it period ok its a beatdown the cowboys were way to over confident in my opinion their the yankees of football we buy expensive players and still cant win cry babies

and the Vikings have posts
that talk about ticket buying sites and praises to the other team. If you dont have anything worth while to say, shut up.
Who wants to play Leapfrog with Trent?
Just one question...
And I mean this in all honesty: why are Vikings fans all “us against the world” right now when the line on this game is Eagles by 1.5?
Now the media and philly fans act like they are super bowl bound.
So if one person starts looking ahead to the Giants game that means we’re all expecting to beat the Vikings? I for one think it’s going to be a tough game and could easily see the Vikings winning.
We beat the Steelers, Falcons and the Giants on the road; but we also tied the Bengals. So I don’t know what Eagles team will show up. But this whole “no one’s picking the Vikings” argument is really nonsense.
Not Really
The media haven’t given the Vikings credit for much of anything all year, even when they win big. When the news came out about Pat and Kevin Williams in the Starcaps episode, the sports gurus totally backed the NFL’s position without looking at the facts. Come on now, don’t you think there was a reason why the courts granted those guys an injunction and scolded the NFL lawyers on the merits of the case? It’s because the case was full of inconsistencies and holes. The league goes after these guys for putting something in their bodies that wasn’t marked over the label (the league knew about the ingredients also but didn’t warn anybody) and accuses them of masking steroids? Have you seen these two players? They definitely aren’t poster boys for steroid abuse. Then the league goes and gives Pac-man his 1,000th chance to get his act together. Players busted for drugs get less suspensions than the Williams two. One analyst on ESPN recently blamed Tavaris Jackson for the loss to the Falcons…obviously he didn’t see the game. Turnovers were the factor. T-Jack did a good job keeping us close. I could cite other references to the bias against our team but I’ll cut it short here. Many people feel that the NFL has egg on it’s face for not having a team in L.A. and that they’ve targeted the Vikes for the move…whether they want to go or not. I watched the NFL shows for the past couple of weeks and nobody picked our team to be in the post season…Now nobody is picking them to beat Philly. So no, it’s not nonsense.

Word. The ONLY media people that have said that the vikings even have a chance to win the game are the guys on our own radio shows on KFAN. Other than that……its 100 percent eagles picks.
But I really dont care…..because media pundits often make their picks based on what chic and not based on any actual analysis. To say that the eagles are going to blow us out because they’ve got a hot hand…..means that person has not watched the vikings play because NO ONE has blown us out. The cardinals and the Saints were supposedly going to whoop us cuz they were impossible to beat at home this year and look what happened.
Let the eagles get big heads….teams that get too self assured end up getting beat. Let the vikings get ignored. The vikes have history of showing up when they’ve been dismissed.
I can guarantee you
that no one in the Eagles locker room is looking past the Vikings. First of all, its never easy to play against a team whose headcoach was a coordinator in your system. I mean childress had to coach agaisnt JJ’s D every day in practice.
In my humble opinion, throw out everything else… the defining element to this game will be whether or not Tavaris Jackson can beat the Eagles pressure and make some things happen either through the air or with his legs.
If he does, The vikings have a great chance of winning the game. If he doesn’t and the Eagles are able to score some points early, i do think it could get ugly. I dont think you guys want jackson to have to come from behind by throwing and taking away carries from AP

Its not as though
The Eagles players are susceptible to the media’s narrative, it wouldn’t be the first time. They are supposed to be professionals and show up to do a job, but teams have bought the hype of a unproven quarterback or the mystique of their own strengths in the past, only to be let down.
It might be tough to tell (if they Eagles have a let down), what exactly it can be attributed to. I don’t know if such a dominating performance in a prior week is such a great thing. With that said, the lackluster finish by the Vikings sure doesn’t inspire.
it all comes down to bringing you A game regardless of the weeks prior
If you can't sell out a playoff game, should you lose the right to have a home game?
most def
the Eagles team that played the Redskins might show up and AP will have a field day. If the Vikings team that played the Giants backups show up, Donny will have a field day. It just comes down to when the purple jerseys and the green jerseys get onto the field and play it out.
Who wants to play Leapfrog with Trent?
i disagree
The Eagles that showed up in Washington only played defense. The Redskins only TD drive was 18 yards long. I think if our “Washington Offense” is what shows up, then its going to be a very low scoring game, and likely the best chance for the Vikes to pull a victory. I dont see this being a shoot-out, and even if it were, i think the Eagles would have the edge.

The Vikings put up big yardage in several games, but big points in very few. Most Vikings games have been close, I don’t know if that gives the Vikings an advantage if it is tight, but I’d like to take comfort in the fact the Eagles are something like 1-5 (and 1) in games decided by 7 or fewer points.
Only 5 Vikings games were decided by more than a score (4-1 in those), and they were 6-5 in close games. It seems it may be a coin toss.
there will be no excuses after sunday , your advantage is childress period !

That’s it pretty much.
Also can the D-line contain McNabb?
thats also very true
Can the Vikes D put enough pressure on Donovan to keep him from getting into a rhytem and catching on fire
Who wants to play Leapfrog with Trent?
Even if the defense doesn’t put pressure on him, the wideouts aren’t so scary enough to burn us up.
I pretty much see this game as being the Vike’s offense’s to lose. Our defense should have no trouble hanging with your offense, they’ve torn apart more dangerous ones over the season, but our offense is the key to an Eagles or Viking victory.
we actually beat the falcons at home not on the road
If you can't sell out a playoff game, should you lose the right to have a home game?
Wont it be nice when sunday comes...
I’m tired of talking about this game
If you can't sell out a playoff game, should you lose the right to have a home game?
Double-Edged
As much as I want the game to be played, I’m still nervous as hell about it. (In a safe, sports related way). I tend to get a little worked up about Vikings games, no matter how hard I try to keep my cool (read: beer). So, having the game so far away is kind of nice for me. As long as the game isn’t being played, I can’t get too worked up.
By the way 700, I do want to apologize for the troll comments from earlier (that McNabb thread got way out of hand). I want to take this as an opportunity for thank you for having football discussions from then on out.
thats the kind of sportsmanship that people like
hey LoveHate, cant you learn something from cheaptoy and purplegrey?

I’m telling you this because you don’t get it. You think you get it, which is not the same as actually getting it. Get it?
