Though the superbowl still needs to be played, it already seems like a long offseason. Since Chilly remains the HC in Minny, we can all agree that there needs to be changes, tweeks, or just plain moving and shaking within the vikings organization.

I'd like your thoughts on what you think the HC should get to work on.

My 2 cents

Fire the Special Ed (ahum...Teams) Coordinator
Announce the all play calling duties will be given to Bevell
Throw Frasier a welcome back party
Announce that your starting qb in 09 will be Adrian Peterson
DRAFT: RG, CB, SPECIAL TEAMER, and LB (in that order)
Shave Head

Anything else I forgot?

By the way....

has anyone realized Childress shows NO emotion. I have never seen the guy smile or anything like that before. Kinda creepy if ya ask me.

I have issue with #2

I don’t believe that Bevell is an NFL calibur OC. let him go back to college. We need a new OC, one who is creative, and isn’t afraid to place both CT and AP on the field at the same time. one who can teach TJack to call an audible, or will let any QB that is on the field for us call an audible. that alone would improve our offense greatly

Let Zygi hire Frazier as head coach

I thought that maybe that was the plan all along. Let Frazier shop around and see what other teams have to offer, then boot Chilly out and stick Frazier in there! But, I’m guessing since Chilly hasn’t been fired yet, that he’s sticking around.
Frazier is a viable head coaching candidate. I’m glad he’s staying around for another year as DC, but I don’t see him passing on a head coaching position much longer. He’s had 2 years (this year, especially) of people going ga-ga over the thought of hiring him as a head coach. I don’t know how much longer Zygi is going to put up with Chilly not quite getting it done. It will be interesting to see what happens next year. Now that Frazier is staying another year, and Zygi is giving Childress another year, if things don’t go well, we’ll have good reason to let Childress go and promote Frazier to HC.

If I were Childress I would…

1.) Shave my Mustache.
2.) Move Chester Taylor to FB/2nd RB this way Chester gets on the field more and we all know that Chester could handle the duties.
3.) Draft a replacement for Ben Leber as well as add depth to the O-line, and secondary.
4.) If he’s available do whatever it takes to bring Anquan Boldin to the dome.

If I were Chilly...

1.) Sign Jeff Garcia QB
2.) Sign Jorden Gross RT
3.) Draft WR & CB in first two rds.
4.) Bring in a ST coach who can coach
5.) Open up the playbook so the offense isn’t predictable
6.) Grow handlebars like Jarred Allen
7.) …and lastly lead this team to SB 44 victory!!!

If I were Chilly...

1. Realize I"ll be canned by mid-season and resign before I start
2. Ask Zygi to do whatever it takes to get Carson Palmer, TJ Houshahowever you spell it and beg Leslie Frazier to stay another year (so he’ll become head coach after Chilly is canned)
3. Draft an OG, LB, WR and CB
4. STAY AWAY FROM BRETT FAVRE HYPE AT ALL COSTS
5. Find MORE ways to involve AD in the offense and get him whatever coaching he needs to pick up a blitz so he can stay on the field on 3rd downs
6. Get a REAL kick ass offense by not calling plays yourself
7. Take a time management course so you don’t screw up critical games by having your head in the clouds at crunch time
