Good game guys
It's been having some good back and forth with you guys this week. We saw two pretty great defenses tonight and two pretty great RBs that no matter how much you hold them down can always hit the HR.
ANd it was a hell of a loud crowd in there.
That was a hell of a game, probably not the last we'll see between these teams!
And I believe that makes seventy five words... doesn't it?
Screw the Giants, how about that?

JasonB...
to even things out, can you PLEASE take Chilly back?
I don't suffer from insanity...I relish every moment of it!

To be fair, we didn’t let him call plays even when he was here….

agreed
the play calling on that last drive was hideous. Okay, down by a touchdown and a field goal, why do you have your best player and homerun hitter on the sideline? Because he mightfumble? Anyways, thanks for the sportsmanship, I need to find a way to drown my sorrows. I usually just beat the team that beat us in madden, but I don’t think that will do the trick this time…

Sidelines
Seeing Adrian Peterson on the sidelines near the end of the game was frustrating. The Vikings best offensive weapon and you don’t trust him on passing downs? I don’t think you can ever be an MVP candidate if your coaches don’t let you play the entire game. I am prioud of our season.
What to do with my TJ #7 jersey though…..

Thanks, man
I won’t go so far as to say either team played a “great” game, but your team did what they had to do when they had to do it.
Congratulations on moving to the next round.

Let me clarify, it was not a “great” played game… but it was close right up until the end…

Good game?? Are you kidding me. The Vikes played like they were afraid to take a chance. It was pathetic. Tehy played not to lose rather than to win.

Hey I thought your defense did play great.

Defense
Big hits, sacks, fumbles, INTs…it was a slugfest. Gotta love that right?

Slugfest
Good description.

Guys, take your purple colored shades off and get real. The defense is fine but the offense is nondescript. Kleinsasser, Taylor and Peterson played fine but the QB position let the team down. The play calling didn’t help much either. Put a quality QB behind the center and the Vikes win this game. It’s that simple.
by Mallers on Jan 4, 2009 7:48 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Even a good QB can't throw to receivers that aren't open.
The Vikes need a better offensive scheme!
by solafide on Jan 4, 2009 7:56 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Yep, the recievers need to A) Pay attention. Rice wasn’t even looking when that pick 6 was thrown. And B) Get open.
And Jackson needs to not throw the ball when the reciever isn’t paying attention. And not throw it into triple coverage. He had some good plays in the game, and then he had the terrible ones too. I’m not as confident in him as I was before. His hot hand really cooled down.

Jackson has been making those same errors his whole career.
by vikingfiend on Jan 4, 2009 8:06 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
His whole career is 18 starts. That’s a little more than a full season. I’m willing to cut him some slack. He hasn’t really had a “career” yet.

Guess
he will not have much of a “career” anyway…

How are you still defending him.
It’s time for a change. Three damn seasons is long enough.

What? Getting hit while throwing the ball?
by LoveHate on Jan 4, 2009 10:43 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I don't understand
why he just doesn’t take sacks sometimes?

nice to see some Eagle fans with class..
because the bunch in our section tonight were complete douchebags.
On another note, let’s please not start making excuses for T-Jacks horrible play tonight. That pick was completely on him and was not due to Sidney Rice not looking for the football. He went 15-35 passing tonight with a passer rating of 45! That is just horrible, even against a defense as good as the Eagles.

And let’s not make excuses for the wide recievers either. They had their share of dropped passes last night. And they never got terribly open.
