Yes, with the past couple of days going the way they've gone, and dealing with douchenozzles left and right, I've taken a break for a day or two. However, I've been remiss in my duty to recap the final week of the Daily Norseman Fantasy Football League for 2008. So, let's do that here now!
The championship game saw a matchup of the two best teams in the league. . .the #1 seeded PMak Attack, and UBB's Bombers, the #2 seed. The PMak Attack showed why they were, indeed, the best team in the league this season, as they jumped out to a huge early lead and never looked back. Thanks to huge performances by Drew Brees (36.3 points) and Andre Johnson (30.8), the PMak Attack captured this season's crown by defeating the Bombers by a final tally of 118.4 - 72.05. Both teams left huge performances on the bench, with the Bombers starting the trainwreck known as Tony Romo at QB (5.25 points) over Houston's Matt Schaub (29.1 points), and the PMak Attack benching Michael Turner (25.8 points) in favor of Matt Forte (7.5) and Brian Westbrook (4.2). Congratulations to the PMak Attack on winning the league this season!
The other three games of the final week of the season saw my Space Monkey Mafia grab the third place trophy with a 96.75 - 83.05 defeat of the Angry Dragons, The Hamburglars winning the consolation bracket by beating the Rabble Rousers 65.05 - 53.8, and whodat capturing the 9th place game by blowing out the Garnet & Gold to the tune of 105.1 - 66.05.
Thanks to everyone that participated in the league this season! It was great, as was expected, and I'm already looking forward to next year's league.
Actual Vikings stuff tomorrow. Really. Seriously. I promise. Until then, have a good one!
