I'm glad somebody said it
I’m sick and tired of hearing about what a “beast” Matt Forte is. Guy’s not that good, and if he was a Viking, he’d be the #3 guy on the depth chart.

I dunno...
Albert Young would give him a run for his money

I've noticed that he has trouble making a decision behind the line.....
thats not a good thing if you ask me… that’s why AP is such a beast. Hit the hole, whether you get three or thirty three. that’s how you hit a home-run, swing for the fences every time. AP also has the advantage of being a ri-cock-ulous beast, and having vastly superior vision when it comes to knowing where to run.
Green Bay or the Windy City..... There but for the Grace of God go I.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on AD
First, I’m a hardcore Vikings fan and I love AD to death. He is the best thing that has happened to the Vikings since Moss (maybe even better?).
That being said, he does tend to dance somewhat behind the line looking for the hole that may or may not actually be there. AD isn’t a 3 yards or 30 kinda guy. I would put him more around the -3 or 60 kinda guy. He loses a lot of yards due to his experimental bouncing. But granted, thats exactly what makes him so great, the ability to create 60 yards out of absolutely nothing. The guy you are referring to sounds more to me like Chester Taylor.

Peterson is getting more consistant
But Forte IS a poor man’s CT.

Peterson
gets caught behind the line more often than most backs. He almost compares to Barry Sanders, except AP is more of a brute force tackle breakin’ fool while Barry was more of a juke-‘em-out-of-their-shoes type. Football Outsiders’ rankings of Peterson by their success rate state are also similar to Barry Sanders.
In 2008, AP ranked 23rd while Forte and Taylor ranked 37th and 38th, respectively, in terms of FO’s success rate. The top 5 (less than 900 yards and/or wasn’t the primary back) by that stat last year were (Pierre Thomas, Deuce McAllister), Thomas Jones, (LenDale White, Fred Jackson, Mewelde Moore), Brandon Jacobs, Dedrick Ward, Le’Ron McClain, (Sammy Morris) and Ronnie Brown.

AP or AD is the only guy I trust to dance around behind the line of scrimmage and still be able to pull positive yards out of it.
But he does need to know when to put the head down and take what he can get.

Forte vs. Salaam
The Matt Forte-Rashaan Salaam comparison won’t really work until Forte starts fumbling three or four times per game.

Which I don’t think will happen with Forte, didn’t he go 300+ touches without a fumble?
