ESPN has a list of his 40 most memorable TD throws:

    here

Week 3 of this season comes in 3rd.

    One of my favorites:

    14. December 24, 1995: No touchdown pass symbolizes the toughness of Favre than this one against the Steelers. After getting drilled by three Steelers, the Packers call timeout so Favre can collect himself. Favre then coughs up blood on the sideline but returns to throw a 1-yard touchdown pass to Mark Chmura on the next play.

    Man in the Arena

Now that is a QB that knows about staying in the Arena rather than watching from the stands, kabitzing/harping like Fran seems to be doing lately…Hmmmmm a bit of Sibling Rivalry/Jealousy going on here perhaps???? Go Brett!

I would rather be IN the Arena than watching from the stands...That is my life!

    REVENGE4FAVRE

I have to hand it to you. You stuck with Favre this whole time, when none of us thought he could do anything. And so far, the Vikings are undefeated, with a Win coming tomorrow. MY birthday! I am honored to have my birthday so close to the date of the greatest QB ever!

The next (new) record he breaks will be...

oldest QB to win a playoff game. Then there’s some more after that.

Let’s not forget “First QB to throw a TD using a walker.”

I wonder if Howie Long ever sacked him. If his kid sacks him that would be a strange record.

by Salty on Oct 10, 2009 12:12 PM CDT up reply actions

    That is an interesting question…

As a matter of fact, Howie Long had 1 sack in a game VS GB in 1993. Considering Favre was the only QB in that game, I think we have a possible record.

Now, if only Chris Long could figure out how to sack someone.

    You said 'purple general'

haha. And yes I’ll take the sophomoric angle here.

    Career stats

You may not realize that these do not include playoff totals. So, for example, if you count playoffs, his career touchdown count is not 472, it’s actually way over 500, maybe around 520.

the number that gets me is the cumulative yardage he has passed for

I don’t remember what it is, but you start thinking about how it matches the distance between this city and that city.
