Vikings/Packers moved to 3:15 p.m. start
When the Vikings visit the Packers in three weeks, the game will be played at 3:15, not the noon kickoff originally scheduled.
From Access Vikings:
Maybe some of us won't have to go to a bar to see it now. Come on, Houston, show me them Vikings! The NFL officially announced that Brett Favre's first game as a Viking at Lambeau Field will start at 3:15 p.m. on Nov. 1 on Fox instead of at noon.
While discussions about this switch had been ongoing -- and while there is little doubt Fox will be thrilled to have Favre vs. the Packers in the later window -- the NFL had an official explanation for this move that has nothing to do with the Vikings. Instead, the league pointed to the fact it wanted to move the Eagles-Giants game in Philadelphia from a 3:15 p.m. start to noon because of a possible World Series conflict with the Phillies.
The Phillies will face the Dodgers in the National League Championship Series and if they are victorious, they would play host to Game 4 of the World Series at 7 p.m. on Nov. 1. This seems like fine logic but there is little doubt that the fact Favre is playing for the Vikings and will be facing the Packers in a much-hyped game did have an impact on this matchup being shifted to a more attractive telecast window.

Crap!
I was scheduled to leave Denver at 3PM to get back into the cities at 6 PM. Time to see if I can change my departure time…
When you go to somebody's house, you don't crap on their floor. Being a fan of one team does NOT give you license to be a dick to fans of another.
Corollary: When people are visiting your house and behaving themselves, them being a fan of a different team is NOT a reason for you to piss in their beer.
Only downside will be that it will probalby be colder, finishing in the dark
Not good for ol’ man river playing QB for us. Brrr he’ll say.
Here’s hoping it’s a steady diet of AP runs by then anyway.
NY...again.
Why are NY teams always screwing things up for MN?

This is good for Minnesota.
It will grant them much more national exposure. Much more. There’s only a few games played in the afternoon, so unless you live in a market with a local team, you’ll probably get the Minnesota/Green Bay game.

Skol Vikings!
Woot Woot!
On the Upside
Thanks to MLB, you won’t have to listen to Joe Buck (but rather to Thom Brennaman) along with Troy Aikman during the telecast.
What a lame excuse to move the game
Just the NFL trying to please fox (Nothing wrong with that) but why the lame excuse. Also they are putting the Jets and Giants in the same time slot due to Baseball??? No way. Why can’t they just come out and say it, they wanted the game in the late slot after last games ratings.

They may be exploiting some contract language, who knows
… in order to “save” a change for some other game later in season that they can’t use baseball as an excuse for (there is probably a limit to how many times they can do this)
