That is a funny shirt though.

I personally find the “We’ll Never Forget You Brent” shirt to be a little funnier, but I’m probably biased.

The Brent shirt seems pretty adolescent

maybe more whiny, heartbroken schoolgirl. Rates right up there with the #4 finger decal. You can bust out your Ahman Green jersey though.

I haven't seen the #4 finger decal.

Haha

Whiny and adolescent huh? Are you sure you weren’t trying to describe the way Favre acted in the 07’ offseason haha :)?

by packallday555 on Oct 21, 2009 11:18 AM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

haha

I thought you would have been so embarassed by your repeated claim that cutting off half a sentence is honest, that you’d shuffle off. From here on out, you’re little Teddy.

by Salty on Oct 21, 2009 12:25 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Salty, just cut it out

I don’t think anyone wants to see you make an ass out of yourself trying to argue with Packalldayy again on Norseman or on Acme

by Donald Driver on Oct 22, 2009 10:51 AM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

LMAO

Packallday – little Teddy – is some kid who hollers about the latest propaganda put out by the haters. The cutting off of half a sentence is hilariously weak. He got busted. He’s made other unsupportable dopey claims. I don’t bother reading Acme because its an anything goes crying room.

by Salty on Oct 22, 2009 2:39 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

I'm not really interested in antagonizing you because I've seen how you get

But I remember the argument that you’re talking about and you kept bringing up the supposed cutting off of the sentence in Favre’s quote but you never manufactured the other half of the quote, and both Packer and Vikings fans called you out on it. He did not get “busted” and I sincerely doubt that he is a “kid.” I don’t always agree with him, but I don’t think that either he or TT is an idiot. As far as the 2 t-shirts go, they’re the exact same kind of humor (just from different sides of the argument) so saying one is smart and funny and that the other is adoscelent is simply dumb. Acme is a very good site by the way, more than worth your time

by Donald Driver on Oct 22, 2009 4:12 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

BS

I gave the quote. Even little Teddy admitted to hearing it. You can hear the whole thing if you want. Or you can cling to a fable. What the hell is wrong with you that you don’t even know the actual quote? And nobody called me out.

He totally got busted. It would be sad if he wasn’t a kid. I don’t know what the second t-shirt you’re talking about, but the we’ll never forget you brent is childish. Acme is an anything goes site. I called it a romper room for a reason.

by Salty on Oct 22, 2009 10:31 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Then give the quote right now and we can put this thing to bed

T-shirt one-“ThanksTed”
T-shirt two-“We’ll never forget you Brent”
I’ve read the story so I know the quote they gave, but you said it wasn’t the full quote so I’m asking you for the full quote. I’m not “clinging to a fable.” I’m sorry that people Acme actually discusses football instead of how great Brett Favre is, and it’s not “anything goes,” as Mitchell and Brandon have repeatedly told us.

by Donald Driver on Oct 23, 2009 11:43 AM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Again?

"I think physically and from a talent level, this is the best team I’ve ever been on." There is more context, but you’d actually have to give a damn.

T-shirt one isn’t a joke.

If you’re thinking that the partial quote, and someone would have to be pretty uninformed to think it was a full quote, you’re clinging to a fable.

Acme spends more time talking about how awful a player and human Favre is and how dreamy and awesome “Arodge” is than anything else. Its anything goes as far as repeating lies. And there is a huge amount of whiny, schoolgirl crying about lots of things, but mostly about Favre.

by Salty on Oct 23, 2009 12:24 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Haha A-roj is pretty dreamy and awesome

But maybe you should read the website before you make those other assumptions. That’s the same quote everyone else gave and I don’t see how it changes anything. And I would hope that t-shirt one is a joke.

Our Gain!

The Packers loss is our gain. Thank heavens Green Bay has a dufus for a GM or we’d still be up that creek without a paddle. If we win the Super Bowl we should send Ted Thompson and the Packer Organization a thankyou card! LOL!

beating GB twice is good revenge. But the ultimate revenge is if the Vikes win a super bowl. I just don’t see how Ted still has a job if that happens.

by dsludo on Oct 20, 2009 4:51 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

That depends on what GB does this year.

If they miss the playoffs and Rodgers gets sacked 80 times (the current pace they’re on), I would hope that would get Thompson fired, regardless of what the Vikes do.

is an overrated arrogant punk of a QB.

He will never be a great QB. In fact, Rodgers will be holding a clip board in a couple of years. Guaranteed!

Favre is the Greatest QB in NFL History.
Rodgers is merely a blip in Packer History.

The only reason Rodgers is doing adequate, is that he has watched and picked up something from the Greatest QB in NFL History!

by REVENGE4FAVRE on Oct 21, 2009 3:38 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yes

R4F is biased. Beyond all conception.

Rodgers is looking like a very good QB (though I still expect him to keep getting hurt a lot, I think last year was a fluke).

The problem is that the Packer GM let the rest of the team go to seed, by trying to be “cheap” or something on the non-skill players, then dumping all the big bucks on a few guys. Some of which were head-scratching moves, such as the fat contract for Grant, after basically 4-6 good games total. Say what you want about Mike Sherman as GM, but he did not make a similiar idiotic blunder by giving Samkon gado a big payday too (after a similiar number of good games from an “out of nowhere former paractice player back”)

Ted Thompson is killing the Packer franchise.

by REVENGE4FAVRE on Oct 23, 2009 9:49 AM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

This would be an interesting discussion to have

I might do a fanpost about TT qualities as a GM one of these days. Ted Thompson is cheap for the most part, but he has that reputation more because he doesn’t sign free agents very often. The only impact free agents he’s signed have been: Charles Woodson, Brandon Chillar, Ryan Pickett, and Marquand Manuel. Interestlingly, all besides Manuel were a lot better with the Packers than they’re old teams. He’s also built a good foundation through the draft. However, he needs to sign more free agents. That being said, he’s locked up most of our players long term, so a lot of the money is going towards that. There’s quite a few guys to lock up this offseason, but after that, there won’t be anyone for some time. Say what you want about him, he’s built a team that’s going to be good for a long time.

Once the Greatest QB in NFL History retires once and for all, everything will come out. Favre must stay politically correct for now.

by Donald Driver on Oct 22, 2009 4:20 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

i take back my other reply to you saying it was a stupid comment after reading your explanation here. Still think you’re wrong. 2007, 2008, 2009 we saw an extremely high level of qb play from Favre. (except late 2008 when he was hurt) Rodgers can toss the ball, but he doesn’t have the intangibles.

Goddamnit now I'm messing up too

But we may have to agree to disagree on that one. Rodgers is more accurate, more mobile, and now he has a stronger arm too. I’m going to assume that Rodgers is better at reading defenses too considering BF’s penchant for picks. I believe you’re talking about leadership, but I think that they’re both very good leaders so I’m calling that a push. Pocket presence Favre may have. Rodgers is a better player right now, and I think DD would agree with that, he knows best

by Donald Driver on Oct 22, 2009 4:49 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

You're right

I agree to disagree. Take care – Shep

by jshep on Oct 22, 2009 4:55 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

damn

Rodgers is better at reading defenses? Congratulations, you’ve made a claim that no commentator will agree with. More mobile? Yeah, he can run, but he doesn’t move better. More accurate? You’re really going over the top. DD would never agree to that and I don’t even believe he would say that while he’s on the team. He’d sidestep the question and say they’re both great.

Speaking of penchants – holding the ball way too long is a huge flaw.

by Salty on Oct 22, 2009 10:33 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

The Packers had the difining years of his career of one of the QBs that people will still talk about for decades to come in discussion about the best to ever play the game.

And yet ingrate fans like you, in an effort to be what you think is “a good team fan,” dismiss that likely once-in-a-lifetime experience, for a guy that is good no doubt, but unlikely to have a career to match Favre.

Here is the truth: Rodgers appears to be good, but at this point, it’s hard to say for sure that he’s even better than Lynn Dickey was, forget about Brett Favre.

If to deal with your emotional attachment issues, you confused subset of Packers fans feel you are compelled to lump the most prolific QB of all time in your memories under the same class as Lynn Dickey, all I have to say is this" the last two decades of Packer football (the #! winningest team in the league over the stretch Favre was starting) were wasted on the likes of you.

I pity you Donald Driver that you are incapable of even recognizing, let alone enjoying, what you had. Not many teams get that at ALL, and even when they do, usually not for so many years. 49ers fans let themselves continue to appreciate Montana after he got traded from them, and yes, even after his new team beat them. I guess they are a little more mature than you.

by puddnhead on Oct 23, 2009 9:36 AM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Sorry for being a good team fan, and I guess while I'm at it I should apologize for being a good person too huh?

Rodgers has started 21 games and he played for half of the Dallas game a few years ago. I’d say that’s a pretty good sample size, and guess what? He’s played well in almost all of those games. I can’t say that he’s going to have a career like Favre’s and I haven’t said that. I even implied earlier that Favre in his prime is better than Rodgers is. What I said is that Rodgers in his 20s is better than Favre in his 40s. I don’t hate Favre, I never said I hated Favre and you have put a shit-ton of words in my mouth. The greatness of Favre while he was a Packer was NOT wasted on me, the winning was NOT wasted on me and I could give a SHIT LESS about Lynn Dickey. I wasn’t even alive when he played for the Packers. I was alive before and after Favre and trust me, I know the difference between having him and not having him.

Packers fans like me loved Favre while he was a Packer, and still cheered for him while he was a member of the Jets. For you to say I don’t appreciate the 90s is a joke. For you to think that you understand how the 90s were for Packers fans is a joke. That you assumed that I didn’t appreciate those years when I did not insult Favre makes you an idiot. Why do some fans just have to turn everything into Favre vs. Thompson? Don’t even try to say that’s not where you were going. I wanted to talk about FOOTBALL; I was talking about straight up our quarterback versus your quarterback. You somehow turned it into an indictment on my character.

Do you know why Green Bay fans don’t like Favre right now? I’m just going to go ahead and assume that you don’t. We don’t hate him for jerking us around for several years, for throwing hundreds of interceptions, for unretiring twice, for leaving the Packers, for insulting the greatest ownership in the history of professional sports or for playing for other teams. WE DISLIKE HIM BECAUSE HE’S A GODDAMN VIKING AND WE DISLIKE EVERY GODDAMN VIKING. We should not be expected to like anyone who plays for our most bitter rival, be it Ryan Longwell, Darren Sharper or even “the great” Brett Favre. We are not being immature, we are standing by our principles. You can throw those emotional attachment issues in the garbage, we cheered for him when he played for the Jets, and we’ll cheer for him when he retires, which will hopefully be some time in the next 20 years.

I've used

a few descriptives along the way concerning R4F, but not that one. I respect you for your insight concerning R4F.

I for one, have made this qb to qb. But your last post opened the can of worms…

What I don’t get – is you not seeing the humanity of a guy who has a career he loves alot more than you love yours. He still expected to be a Packer after the ‘07 season. This interview (starting @ 10:20 to the end) says it all. Brett even says he understands ’the business’ of what happened.
http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=3905886
But they (TT and Mccarthy) have never denied any of Brett’s story. The BS McCarthy spewed about Favre asking about being traded to the Vikings as’ not on the same page’ or whatever dung he chose to make Favre look the traitor, was self defensive – he was part of the coup. So I wonder, what would you have done? Do you believe the guy who spoke up about this or the ones who declined comment?

Basically Favre is a Ron Wolfe/Mike Holmgren era banner of success. TT and McCarthy have hope in Rodgers as their future ‘banner’. The faster they get Favre out of their way, the faster the team becomes ‘theirs’. Favre was a power they didn’t want to continue standing in the shadow of.

Several years? Wrong.
Can’t stand interceptions? Just have the RB take every snap – problem solved.
Leave the Pack – Wrong, pushed out. Your beloved TT won’t even talk about it .
Dislike Brett as a Viking – too shortsighted to see the unfinished career aspect from Favre’s point ot view.
The day your boss pushes you out the door when you still feel (and have proven) you’re still on your game – and you take a job with the competition and your friends at your old job come to hate you… then you will be able to say you walked a mile in Brett’s cleats.

BTW – One more thing you’re wrong about – there is NO WAY Driver believes Rodgers is a better qb, let alone on par w/ Favre. Utter foolishness.

by jshep on Oct 23, 2009 8:29 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Ok first off, he definately jerked us around for a few years you can't even argue with that

The whole months of will he/won’t he sign with the Vikings? Well we had to deal with months of will he/won’t he retire every year for 4 years. They did NOT care about standing in Brett Favre’s shadow. That statement is downright absurd. But my problem here is that you’re taking the things I said I DON’T hate Favre for, and saying that I shouldn’t hate him for those things. So in other words I don’t really understand what we’re debating here. My true viewpoint on the whole situation? I think he should’ve stayed retired of course. Though I like your comparison to a real life situation a lot, I gotta tell you that if I was that set for life from a money standpoint like Brett is I would be looking forward to retirement. I do not love TT, but one thing I do appreciate is that through the whole Favre thing he did only what was best for the team. I don’t agree with everything he did in the situation, but I don’t want my team to be held hostage because one player has an ego bigger than Lambeau Field. I’m sorry but I’m not going to watch that video because I just can’t believe anything the guy says anymore. There’s one problem with your example. He was not traded or forced to retire. If you retired from your job, would you expect your job back once they’ve already hired someone else? Anyone who expects that is beyond arrogant-not that Brett hasn’t earned the right to be arrogant, but he was in the wrong to try that bullshit. However, your ignoring one simple fact. He is a Viking. He could have gone to almost any other team and still retired as the God of WIsconsin, but he threw that away and it was a stupid thing to do. You say he’s not a traitor, but factually he is. If he was a Packer and he is now intentionally a Viking, that makes him a traitor, no bones about it. I don’t care what the situation, there is no suitable excuse for attempting to stick it to our franchise, or for being a Viking. Jason Taylor said he would never play for the Jets because they were rivals of the Dolphins. I expect that kind of loyalty from our franchise players. I think you should read this story it’s funny and it sums up our feelings pretty well-especially because I go to Wisconsin-Whitewater.

You're very disillusioned

by and about alot of things. The fact that you say you won’t watch the video because you ’don’t believe what he says’ – you’re just not willing to listen to the only person innocent enough to tell the truth of what happened. It would answer some of your questions and tell you where you’re wrong about him ‘retiring’ in the 1st place. He may have been iffy about retiring – not 4 years. Heck, my dad was an elected official in a union and labored about running for office again the last 3 times elections came up. Didn’t make him bad for the job. Talk to Montana about ‘loyalty’. You don’t personally know Brett – how can you say he has an ego. He’s ALWAYS humble. .

And you have the nerve to post something for me to look at after you refuse?!? Grow up.

BTW college kid – I’ve been a Packer fan aat least 30 years longer than you. Watched the ice bowl w/ my dad. The tdealings of TT would frost Lombardi’s balls.

If you’ve really been a Packer fan for 40 years then I am curious as to how you’re so attached to a player that you’ve switched allegiances when he switched teams? Thanks for reading the article though, I can understand your frustation there. Brett Favre is not innocent-he is a Viking. Though Montana switched teams, I’m sure he’d tell every 49er fan to keep cheering for the 49ers. I’m curious as to what you’ll do when Brett finally retires-will you keep cheering for the Vikings, or will you go back to where you belong? As far as the “Brett’s cleats” commentary? you haven’t either? Why don’t you take a walk in Rodgers’s cleats? How would you feel about taking over for a legend who just happens to compete in your division? You might have been a fan longer-but you were never a true Packer fan. A fan cheers for the team, not the player. You and Salty should get together more often-you guys apparently agree that calling someone a kid is the most insulting thing you can call someone. Allow me to be the one to tell you that it is the stupidest.

by Donald Driver on Oct 24, 2009 1:13 AM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

It's no insult...

That was pointed out to me planty of times when my words/actions reflected it. I never called you an idiot – I you said that. Yet you call me stupid. Kid or stupid – which is an insult?

Favre has spoken of only good things concerning his time there with players and fans. Everyone knows how much he loved GB. He hurt over what happened. Disrespect – no. Point it out if you think there is a place that happened. He doesn’t even go so far as to disrespect TT or McCarthy in that interview. So yes, he is innocent – also human thus less than perfect.

Favre retiring will be one thing – I’ve been clear from the git go here that I’ll be much happier w/ the staste of GB when TT and McCarthy are gone.

You don’t know what 49 years of life has challenged me with. Aaron wouldn’t be walking in the same path had Bretts’ bed not been made for him. Not Favre’s fault Rodgers has to deal with this situation of competing against Favre – talk to management – they made favre and Rodgers’ beds for them.

Never a true Packer fan? You didn’t see my staunch support through the ugly losing years. Should rodgers ever become the face of the frachise, and this happens to him – only then can you comment on how you’d always be team loyal only. You have only known Favre winning seasons – it remains to be seen if Rodgers will be healthy enough to survive this season, let alone a long careers’ worth. If a family member deeply hurts you, it may take awhile to recover before you can even go deal with it, let alone immediately forgive and carry on as if nothing happened. Maybe you’ve yet to deal with anything that serious, either.

If you really knew me, you’d know that in my life, loyalty is for God, family, and friends. Football is entertainment – the people in it are much more valuable than the team.

I can’t think of anything meaningful that may further this, so I’m done. I hope you enjoy life and all it brings. Take care, Shep

Donald Driver..........

Brett Favre is going to destroy your TT ran Packer Organization. Stay Loyal to a White Ghost, the worst GM in the NFL.

Rodgers will be holding a clip board very soon, and will never get your Packers into the Playoffs.

Too bad, Too Sad KID, or should I say youngster!!!

WHAAAAAAA<HAAAAAAA,HAAAAAAAHAAAAAAA!!!!!

You are Dead Wrong...........................

Favre wanted to play for Green Bay in 2008!

Teddy T & McLardy moved on!

Favre gave the Packers in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and so on the best chance to WIN, not Aaron Rodgers!

Ego played a huge part of Teddy T’s decision. Winning should have come before Teddy T’s EGO!

Teddy T traded the Face of the Franchise before the Face of the Franchise wanted to move on!

Favre had no other choice than to get his pay back!

Packer Nation is divided! Very soon the number of Packer Fans on the side of the Franchise will surely decrease once Favre goes into Lambeau and beats the hell out of the TT ran Packer Organization.

The cry for Teddy T’s Head will increase.

Once Favre leads the Vikings to a Victory in Super Bowl XLIV, TT & MM will be on the next train out of town once and for all!

Once Favre officially retires, all in Wisconsin will forgive and forget, knowing that the true traitors were the Teddy T ran Packer Organization!

At that point 2 bordered states will have something in common, a legendary QB that won at least one Super Bowl for each state!

Happy Endings indeed!

Long Live the Greatest QB in NFL History.

The Man

The Myth

The Legend!

Brett Lorenzo Favre!

We do understand the use of past tense, though.

We’re not THAT confused.

Personally, I don't give a crap about Brett Favre.

Unfortunately Not!

Wow, that would be an honor to take a picture with Mrs. Favre, the wife of the Greatest QB in NFL History!

Retardation

Hey, just reminding you Viking morons that having sex with your children is against the law. Just thought I would remind you all. Oh, and another thing. The movie Fargo did you a favor. You are stupider than it portrayed. Go Pack. You will lose at Lambaugh, And if you get to the playoffs, you will screw it up anyway.

Why don’t you kick me off like last time. Farve doesn’t like you hicks, he is just using you all. When he is done, he will probably want to retire as a Packer, but we don’t want that self centered addict. He can retire as a Viking.

by Salty on Oct 23, 2009 12:27 PM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

You dumb a@#es will never win a Super Bowl. And Farve won’t win you one either. Desmond Howard won the 96 one and Farve had a chance to win the 97 one, but he didn’t and never did again, and will never again. So please stop molesting your children inbreds.

My comments already posted here apply to you as well, time ten.

… Listen, late last night, heard the screen door slam
And a big yellow taxi took my [QB] away
Don’t it always seem to go
That you don’t know what you got till it’s gone
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot

And Deanna doesn’t give a crap about any of you either. She just wants your money for her boobie charity and then they are going back to Hattiesburg and make fun of Ted Thompson and the northern inbreds in Minnesota while they roll in money and do nothing but take. Take, take, take. It is all about them.

Sibling Rivalry On Display

Sad that this “Packer Fan” is stooping to this level of ugliness…

I know from being on the ACME site that most Pack Fans are not this way….

Guess this one has a little bit of anger, along with a bit of “penus envy” like issues with the Vikings and their team members?

Seems to be carrying through to his perceptions of all the good folks in MN as well….Really I hope he can get some help….maybe some of his fellow Packer fans can do it….

Waste of time for any of us to respond/make such suggestions….Most beneficial for US would be to ban his a#@ from the site….Not my call, but is what I would do….

He belongs on the yahoo comment sections of posts/articles – this behavior is the norm there (and not worth our valuable time to look at/consider)…Also why I do not even look at these…

Anyhoo…..GO VIKINGS….toughest game of the year on Sunday…bring the A game!!!!

SKOL!

I would rather be IN the Arena than watching from the stands...That is my life!

I'll tell you

because it’s sort of fun seeing people act this stupid. I mean heck I get a kick out of it. Yeah I don’t want to read it all the time but heck it’s funny watching someone get all amped up.

I can’t remember who posted it but on another post someone stated winning an argument on the internet is like winning a special olympic. No matter what you won, your still retarded.
