vikings silence steeler fans

This sundays game against the steelers is going to test the Vikings in ways they haven't yet faced this year. The steelers are one of the most formidable opponents for any team to play against, especially on the their own turf. Childress and the rest of the staff and players know this, and have been playing the first six games in preparation for this very game.. favre is the oldest, most experienced, and one of the smartest QB's playing today, and thats why this is THE game when the Vikings finally get their offense to gel..  the learning curve is over,  this will be a game won by the best offense not the best defence, and right now, the vikings have the advantage at this stage of the season because of favres work ethic, and his continued effect on the rest of the offense.  Vikings 27 --- Steelers 13.

I agree with your premise

I actually felt that the Baltimore game was the first to unleash the playbook but your point is well taken. This is the Superbowl Steelers. On their turf. Very wet, sloppy turf. If there was a time for Brett to step forward and teach this team what winning is all about its this game.
Last game we threw the ball on deep slants. We ran effectively against 8 men up. We still have not used the short slant ( Percy is hurt) that can destroy a defense. We have the tools to outscore the Steelers and we will need them. I really don’t think they will only score 13 points.

I see this game as a tough battle of two great offenses. If either team holds the other to under 21 points they win. Vikings 30-Steelers 24.

My football brain tells me that the Steelers win because of Home field advantage but hell I’m a Farve fan now.

Yea I will have to get up early for this. they should of switched this game and put it on monday night football

This would make a great Super Bowl. I think the undefeated streak ends this week. Thats ok I like both teams but don’t like the fact that Big Ben has more super bowl rings that Brett. Something about that is just not right

Vikings win, Defense steps up, and watch out for Chester Taylor Having A Big Game!

Yes it’s easier to prepare for Chester than Peterson, but if they focus on Peterson a lil bit too much, than either Favre or Chester will get the job done!

As The Play Snaps, One Dream, One Team, One Head Coach will be on top! Will It Be The Vikings?

i think the D steps up this week.

vikes win by 7….. 24-17. i see roethlisberger getting rolled up on…. nothing serious, but enough to knock him out, maybe mid-second quarter….. count it….

I project the Vikings to be trailing at the end of the first half 17-10. Peterson will open up mid 3rd quarter with a 50+ rush for a touchdown and the Vikings defense will take over from there. Second half belongs to us 27-20 Minnesota.

I think the Vikes will win defense will come out extremely pissed off with a thirst for blood because of the poor 4th quarter last game. And the offense will be smooth as usual.

we should win this ...There is room in your head for another win...

If the bears can beat them with Cutler.
Bengals beat them with Palmer late game heroics.
Why cant we with Brett….?? the coaching staff and players will make adjustments to win

27 to 17 vikes win

Because I don’t think their kicker is going to miss 2 FGs, and Polamalu DOES make that defense a whole lot better. But it should be a good game regardless.

Winfield will be missed!

Ya the Vikings are going to miss him in the run and pass? With the field being bad and the Pitt. wide outs being use to the field ( Both Word and Homes) they have a leg up on the wide outs of the Vikings. Bernard needs to show he is the guy?I hate to say this, but I think the Vikings are to beat up to pull this off? 27-10 Pitt. Sorry! Maybe Peterson and Favre have a special game and win?
