the blind zebras
Tough game..outplayed the steelers...the refs didn't help..multiple blown calls...they called the late hit by sapp on ben but didn't call it when they hit brett after a throw....or the holding of the arm on kleinie in the endzone...blew thw call on rice's catch which had to be reviewed..and of course the phantom trip call which took a td away from the vikes...is it me or has the officiating profession gotten worse in football and baseball...every time you turn around, its another blown call whichh unfortunately has an impact on the result of games.....what a shame

anyone who’s not outraged by this is not a football fan and doesn’t care at all about the game
favre, jackson, rosenfels, the tooth fairy... i don't care, just give me a Super Bowl!

This is what happens when you play the Steelers.

Ender is Right
Art Rooney Sucks off Roger Goodell So much its ridiculous..Like last week…Steelers go for it on 4th and 1 against cleveland..the ball gets spotted 6 inches short of the 1st down marker, the measurement takes place…just to make sure…..the ball Is still 6 inches short..YET THEY GAVE PUKESBURGH THE FIRST DOWN!

I haven't seen...
anyone’s thoughts on our “delay of game on the defense” call against us. What the hell was THAT? I still don’t get it.

I heard the explanation on the broadcast..
It was some bull like “the player was standing stationary within a yard of the line and made a quick movement to try to get someone to jump” or something….. I totally totally don’t agree with hardly a single call in this game… A steeler fan that I know was complaining how the refs blew the “offensive pass interference” when heath miller laid that block on their first TD which was turned into 3 because of the call….

Second time we've seen a defensive delay of game this season, I believe.
If I remember correctly, Ced got called for that earlier in the year.

The whole game was a joke
The officiating crew blew it all game long. We still proved we are a better team than the defending super bowl champs. ( they needed extra help to win that one, too)
Better we lose this one than next, can’t wait for us to roll into GB at a high level WITHOUT our best player in the secondary.

That late hit penalty on Sapp was justified.
If you want to get technical, they could have gave us an unsportsmanlike conduct and 15 yards for a spear tackle. Either way it was a stupid play by Sapp.

quid pro quo
not too soon after that brett was pushed to the ground well after the pass and no flag

Haha
You mean the play were McKinnie blocked Harrison in the back which casued him to fall into Favre? That doesn’t justify a late hit.
The tripping call was awfully ticky-tacky though. It looked like he tried to make a good block on Harrison, though it did appear he threw his legs up a bit but still.
It was a really good game, and as much as I hate to admit, you guys have a great team.

Wow......................
We have finally agreed on something.
That tripping penalty was crap!

Same thing happened to Brady
earlier this year and he got the call eventhough he didn’t even fall to the ground.

Yea, because Brady is a pussy and wines to the ref after the play is done.
Favre takes a hit and just lines up for the next play.

Haha
No because one of Brady’s o-lineman wasn’t called for holding like McKinnie was for you guys. Suggs fell into Brady after the play and there was no holding penalty called (even though there should have been). Harrison fell into Favre after he was pushed and tackled by McKinnie after beating him on the play. Again, because there was a penalty on McKinnie, Harrison’s hit on Favre doesn’t justify a late hit. Had there not been a penalty called on McKinnie then it would have been a roughing the passer, and I’m sure it would have been called. Especially seeing as how Favre has already got some very iffy roughing the passer calls in his favor this year.

True, but what player is the cause of the heightened sensitivity to QB contact?
Tom Brady.
But yea, Harrison was blocked into Favres knee and Suggs was blocked into Brady’s knee. I don’t really see the difference.

Yep, Sapp had some un-sportsmanlike calls on him last year too
I hate to say it, but Sapp might be a cheap-shot!
by chaosg on Oct 25, 2009 9:42 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Sapp is a liability.
He is like a truck driver who occasionally drinks. You can rely on him to make most of the plays, but then he gets drunk and does something stupid.
by Bjorno on Oct 26, 2009 3:15 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
He’s definitely a risk. Sapp plays with too-much emotion, and he has a short fuse.
He still better than Payma though….lol

Score doesn't tell the tale
We are worthy. We just outplayed the Steelers on their home field. Horrible refs call and a pass that went sour at the end did us in. Any Steelers fan watching this game was nervious as a whore in church. We were driving for the winning score and they know they got lucky. It happens every year you always win one that should have lost and you always lose one that you should have won. If we are fortunate enough to play them again we will get it right next time. Hey non division game, not even in conference.
Lets get back to business and put a beatdown on the Pack.

Watch the Sapp play
While Ben was running Kevin Williams was being held, he threw up his hands and kept being held. He would have caught Ben at the line of scrimmage and Sapp would not have had the chance to be stupid.
