The Superbowl is NOT unrealistic
Before I get jumped on, hear me out...
The more Favre gets comfortable in this offense, the scarier this team looks. He's playing as well or better than I've ever seen him play. The INTs are way down, and his efficiency is remarkable for any QB, regardless of age. Oh, and don't forget there's a young fella wearing #28 standing right behind him.
The defense is getting better. They've played well in spurts, but still struggle giving up big plays. Start taking those away, and this team becomes frightening.
The special teams looks better than I can remember! The returns are fun to watch with Percy, Darius, and Jaymar! We can still do better in coverage though.
Looking around the NFC, I'm not sure I see I team I'm afraid of facing in the playoffs. The Saints look like they can score at will, and to be honest, that's a NFC champioinship matchup I'd love to see... in either dome!
I'm hoping Favre finishes out both years of his contract, and I'm hoping his health holds up the entire time, because this team's rise and fall will come down to their overall health and minimizing their mistakes.

I'd say we're all optomistic about that...
This isn’t some sort of revelation. Getting Favre was Childress’ way of saying, “Super Bowl or bust.”
But yes, I agree, Vikings/Saints NFC Championship would be good. The Vikings can be a ball control offense, and that’s what’s needed to stop Brees and Co.

Skol Vikings!
Woot Woot!
What the hell are you talking about?
So let me get this straight…………
The 6-0 Vikings lose on the road to the defending Super Bowl champs in what amounted to a must-win game for them… a game I might remind you the Vikes were driving to win when a fluky play cost them the win…
and now there needs to be some sort of justification why Viking Nation is still able to consider the Super Bowl a “possibility”?
Puh-leeze.
Even if the Vikings lose Sunday to the Green Bay Jilted Girlfriends (I’m not EVEN going to get started on this. I could write a 5,000 word dissertation on the psyche of Packer fans.), i don’t think there’s any question they’re still on pace to meet the Saints in the NFC championship game.

I don't think the saints can nut up,
to make it to the NFC championship. I wouldn’t be surprised to see dallas, or the giants. Granted the saints look good, but they’re defense is a time bomb… waiting to become horrible. It almost happened last week, it actually looked like the week, but not yet… soon.
...add #4 to the mix and see what you get... Championship.
well, the only problem....
in my eyes is that the Saints can apparently score 84 points per game. That team is better at “scoring at will” than the 98’ Vikings were. Scary. Sharper is a melt-down though. Bart would make him look really bad.
Vikes need to show they won't let up
Getting to the Super Bowl is only partially due to skill. It is mainly due to a vision that the team must have, and it must be the entire team. A vision that shows them not only getting into the Super Bowl but winning it. Without that vision it is to easy for good teams to fall apart down the stretch. They get complacent whatever. Or worse they set their eyes to the playoffs and once they achieve that their steam runs out and they lose.
Now I have to say that this season one of the reasons I’m so excited is because I truly believes that the Vikes ‘believe’ that they will get to the super bowl. Now, I don’t think the see themselves as the only ones that can win it, but we’ll work on that attitude.
And yes Bret thank you for coming your the one who has given this team the ability to feel this way.
Vikings-Packers
Let’s worry about this Sunday’s game in Green Bay, and not look ahead, lest we trip and fall.
