The Vikings organization has lost a teammate. Former safety Orlando Thomas, who had been suffering from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), passed away on Tuesday evening; he was 37 years old.

Thomas was drafted by the Vikings in the 2nd round (42nd overall) of the 1995 draft out of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana). He led the Vikings in INTs during the first 2 seasons of his career, collecting 9 INTs and All-Rookie Team honors in 1995 and then grabbing 5 more INTs in 1996...
