Awesome, Short Notice Opportunity for a Daily Norseman Reader

Ladies and gentlemen, the site has been given a tremendous opportunity today.  However, in order to make it happen, we need to call upon one of our outstanding readers to do a job for us.

As part of the JcPenney Hall of Fame promotion that I mentioned about a week ago, we've been given the opportunity to interview a couple of Vikings that are candidates for the Hall of Fame.  Real, honest-to-goodness Viking legends.  Unfortunately, whatever powers that be that are out there have conspired to make Anthony, Eric, AND I unavailable during the time frame that the JcPenney folks want to conduct the interview during.

So, basically, we're looking for a volunteer to talk to former Vikings' safety and all-time NFL interception leader Paul Krause or former Vikings' kicker Jan Stenerud.  Or possibly both.  We could potentially even have two people do this, one for each interview.  The time frame the JcPenney folks are looking at is between 2 PM and 4 PM this afternoon.  (Yes, short notice, I know. . .the three of us had to determine that we really wouldn't be available to jump on this opportunity.)

So, if you're interested and available, leave a comment on this post here and between Anthony, Eric, and myself, we'll effort to pick someone in-between our various commitments today to conduct these interviews.  It's helpful if you've done interviews of some sort in the past, but I don't think we're going to make that a requirement or anything.

Thanks in advance to everyone that volunteers for this, and good luck in advance to whoever scores this huge opportunity!

My vote goes to R4F!

Yea, I’m just kidding.

Joking aside, this is a great honor for this site, and I know you guys will find the right person for the job.

LOL @ R4F conducting it.

I would volunteer if it weren’t for me being sick, and too young to ask anything that would pertain to their actual careers… “So what do you think of Brad Childress?”…“Um, who? and why is that important?”

Sort of a Samuel L. Jackson

Style of interviewing.

Actually, that might be kind of awesome.

Paul Krause

Damn, I wish I was qualified. I’m old enough to remember when Paul played. Imagine sitting back while your D line ate up most of the other teams offense. You get to pick off all those rushed passes. I hope we get to hear what it was like inside that locker room. Good luck to whoever does the interview and I hope they do a good job.

Wish I lived in Minnesota

Although if it were Page being interviewed I probably would have sold a limb to get up there.

Not Possible

Its impossible to fail at life if you are a Vikings fan. Those two concepts are, like, opposites.

MilCardFan.

We unfortunately couldn’t fit into Jan’s interview schedule, but we still got Paul Krause and we’ll hopefully have a transcript tonight. So expect to see it either tonight or tomorrow.

That's too bad

I was looking forward to Jan’s personal recollection of the time Les Steckel ate a dirty diaper.

Wow, what a memorable experience!

I just want to say thanks to Gonzo, Anthony, and Eric for the opportunity. The interview was conducted this afternoon, and I just submitted the transcript to Anthony.

Paul Krause was one of my childhood idols, and talking to him and hearing what he had to say about the Vikes of old, the Vikes of now, and the Hall of Fame was one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had in a long time.

I hope you guys get as much enjoyment reading the interview as I had doing it. If there’s any other Hall of Fame Purple People Eaters you need me to interview, just let me know, lol.

Thanks again, it was a blast!!!
