This Game is HUGE!
Are you kidding!! Who would have ever though Brett Favre the most hated guy in Minnesota Viking history would be pleying for us!? No one thats who.
Who would have ever thought that Brett Favre, Wisconsins golden boy would be entering Lambeau Stadium in anything other than puke green and gold? Once again No one. Who knew that Favre would enter Lambeau in Purple!? No one. Who would have thought on draft day with all the concerns that Purple Jesus would become the player he is today? Heh heh No one. Who would've thought Brad Childress would have a VIKINGS team 6-1 after 7 weeks? Thats easily no one.
My point being is that this game is so big right now that this could set us back with a loss, or could propell us to the playoffs with a win. I am sooo hyped about this game, you wouldnt believe. And I know that all you fellow Rugged, Scandonavian, He-Men realize that this game is this big and you guys are amazingly hyped! Furthermore, with a win we will have the second best record in the NFC and will able to go blow for blow with the Saints and try to lock up some DOME field advantage, or at least get the first week off.
Whens the last time we had a first round bye? 1998? All I know it was a long time ago. All right enough jibber-jabber lets get to the game!
My BOLD Predictions
Vikings Stat Line:
4: 27-37 300 yds, 2 TD's,1 Pick 6
Purple Jesus: 28 carries 168 yds, 1 TD, 3 rec 23 yds
Purple Haze: 4 receptions 39 yds. Rushing TD, and a long kickoff return
Sid the Kid: 9 balls 145 yards and a TD
Shankster: 5 balls and 37 yds. Costly false start on a good drive.
Bullet Bernard: 2 balls 42 yards. Limited due to injury, but gets a 35 yd TD
Longwell: Pair of field Goals
69: 3.5 sacks and a FF
Karl Paymah with a pick 6
Final Score:
41-30 Vikings.

Really? Karl Paymah with a pick six? I’d believe Benny Sapp but not Paymah.
We are the vikings.......resistance is futile.

Yeah the Paymah prediction
is a little optimistic. Nonetheless, I agree with your prediction for the outcome of the game. I will laugh really hard if Paymah pulls it off though.
Purple is the new black.

You're right, this game is HUGE. Not just for Favre neither.
Chilly is in a contract year, and sweeping the Packers will help his chances of getting a contract extension, and sweeping the Packers might get the fans off his back a little too.
But other than the Chilly thing and all the Favre drama, this is just another divisional game between the Packers and Vikings. Both teams need the win just as bad as the other. Go Vikes!
My prediction:
Shank gets a TD, and C.Taylor redeems himself with a 40yrd receiving TD late in the 4th qtr. Vikes win by 5 points.

So disappointed to miss this game!
I am going to be on a plane, so I won’t find out what happens til we land and I get the b-berry fired up! I hope it’s not a blow-out; as a Bears fan, I just want to see a good game.
May the officiating be fair!
May the wind be always at your back, and may your placekicker have icewater in his veins.

Well, at least you're trying to be impartial.
I was guessing you’d have Favre throwing a dozen touchdowns while flipping Ted Thompson’s box the bird at the end of every play. And 650yds of total offense from Peterson and Favre is downright pessimistic from you.
What begins in fear usually ends in folly.

i am a huge harvin fan, but why is he always listed as having some injury or illness? this goes back to his playing days at florida. he seems too damn fragile.

Migraines really can be debilitating though.
Unfortunately, I’m speaking from experience. If you get them bad enough, there are sensory cues beyond mere head pain, including distortions of light, sensativity to light that causes stabbing pain when someone turns on a lamp (imagine a 100 flash cameras firing at once while you’re trying to catch a kickoff), ultrasensative skin to the point where physical contact with your clothing is actually painful, nausea and vomiting, etc. Most people don’t get them that bad, but it appears that Harvin does. It’s difficult to understand unless you experience it and those that suffer from it often are the subject of rumors that they’re fragile, or even faking.

My Daughter Suffers
Yes I agree with you Ted….For her it started when she was only 12, and 20 years later, she still gets them…We have done soooooo many tests and etc. but to no avail….Now she has a family and unfortunately the world does not stop when she gets these….
Is a rough thing…Is no fake for sure…All we can do is be there and take some of the load of having a couple of normal boys (meaning at times they are boys – have “irrational exuberence” perspective on life lol)…
Harvin going through these being in the NFL has got to be at least as bad if not worse…Imagine getting hit with sledgehammers for about 4 hours a day when you have the worst hangover you ever have experienced….that is what it must be like!
Let’s hope he is OK to play today, and that there are no further injuries (other than Vikings putting a “hurt” on the Packers)….
SKOL!
I would rather be IN the Arena than watching from the stands...That is my life!
