"I really don't know. I hope . . . I understand we're the visitor. And every time we take the field, I don't expect a standing ovation. All I ask for is respect. What I did there goes without saying. I'm proud of it. And you may hate the Vikings or whatever, but just respect what I've done over the years. And once the game starts, play ball."
Play ball indeed. It's game day. Good luck, Brett.

Guess the nation will see...
How much class or classless the Packer fans have/are…
I am guessing normal initial booing takes place, Favre and crew shuts them up/depresses them to the point of silence/near silence…
At the end, all agree that once again Favre was great…and Vikes walk away with the W, bragging rights for the year, and one step further/closer towards that first SB ring…
SKOL!!!!!!!!!
I would rather be IN the Arena than watching from the stands...That is my life!

Yeah, because whatever Favre thinks is appropriate...
… everyone MUST agree, or they aren’t showing the proper respect.
Please. He ain’t the damn Pope; he’s not infallible or the font of all wisdom. The fans will do what they want, and if he doesn’t like it, my response won’t be much more than a shrug.
That said, while I think the boos may be louder than the cheers to start, the cheers will be there, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they were louder than the boos in the end, regardless of the outcome of the game. I could be wrong though. Time will tell.
Either way, it should be fun to watch. I hope it’s close, either way, and while I’m pulling for a Packer victory, I’m not terrible optimistic. The Vikings appear to be the better team right now, at least to me. Though it doesn’t have to be that way come January.
Have fun everybody!

They are Cheesheads
One guy interviewed in GB (a barbershop owner I think it was) was saying how he he threw, broke or gave away his Favre memoribllia. In the same breath telling people how classy Busher fans are. Yah, like a bunch of drunks mooning opposing teams buses as they come in.
Respect? Green Bay? Classy fans? The 3 don’t mix.
Forget about respect Brett. You’ll get booed, burned in efigy and treated like crap.
Here is my suggestion-Don’t worry about respect or revenge. Challenge the team to rise up for the State they represent and go out there and kick their butts and play like you have never played before.
Revenge? Win your Super Bowl. Give us another year or 2 of good football. If the Green Bay fans want to treat you like dirt after all you gave them, try doing the above and then at your Hall of Fame induction , enter in as a Viking. In doing so remember how they treated you on your return. Remember how Vikings fan, even those against your coming, have welcomed you and are grateful you wanted to come here when you could have gone anywhere. Honor your new fans and embrace them as your own now.
As for class, I never heard of a former Viking coming back from another team and being booed. Even after the Culpepper episode, Vikings fans never treated him like dirt on his return. He gave us some fun years but we never expressed ourage or hate for him, we just moved on. Apparently those “classy” fans in GB won’t give you that.
Get us to the Bowl be it this year (preferably) or next, retire a Viking and you have gotten your revenge. And if it makes you feel better, I know I will, beat them all 4 times in the 2 years you are here.
