Everyone Head Over to Twinkie Town!
While you're checking out the early NFL action today, be sure to keep an eye on the baseball scoreboard as well. Today marks the final regular season MLB game at the Metrodome between the Twins and the Kansas City Royals, and if the Twins can win today, they'll do no worse than guarantee themselves a Game 163 at the Metrodome.
Of course, that Game 163 will be played on Tuesday afternoon. . .seems there's a matter of an itsy-bitsy, teeny-tiny little football game to be taken care of on Monday night.

BTW
Did they ever figure out when the tie-breaker game would be played?

I never saw any announcement by MLB or NFL about a Tuesday afternoon game…

The Twins won their season series with the Tigers
Hence the game would be in Minnesota.

If the Tigers and the Twins finish in a tie atop the AL Central:
Based on a coin flip, the two teams would meet in a one-game playoff on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the Metrodome to determine the AL Central champion.

That's wrong
The Twins will host the tie-breaker but because of their head-to-head record vs the Tigers, not because of a coin flip.
MLB changed the rules this season. ESPN must not have updated their stuff.

That was what I thought it was
Either way, the game’s going to be at the Metrodome (if it happens) on Tuesday at 4 PM Central time.

The Twins won the season series 11-7 assuring home-field advantage for the tiebreaker.
Last year, Major League Baseball was still using coin flips to determine home-field advantage for tiebreakers, and the Twins wound losing 1-0 at Chicago, even though they won their season series with the White Sox 10-9.
