Pondering as I watch end of Seattle/Dallas
Boy oh boy, Houshbag doesn't look happy! Mostly ineffective, lack of an offense and look rattled. I wonder if he might be having second thoughts about going to where the top dollar was? While the Vikings look like they are poised to make a deep run into the playoffs, Seattle looks like it is poised to make an early pick in next years draft. SKOL VIKINGS! ANd here are a few more words so I can post this damn thing and make over 75 words. grrr

Housh that probably means no harvin,
and harvin in my mind does a lto more for this team than housh does
plus we have our housh guy in Syd the Kid

We don't need a Housh now.... we need a Fitzgerald

LOL, now that’s the hard truth of it!!
I was thinking about the WR position and Harvin; I don’t know if it will ever be a smart idea to lock Harvin down to any particular position/role, he does so well in multiple slots. Technically he was brought in as the fast WR we needed, but he’s so much more than that, he may never settle down into being just a wide out.
But you’re right, we need to boost the secondary pretty badly. I worry about Phat Pat and the need to find his replacement too. Not saying that Pat’s ready to step down yet but he’s getting up there in years.
It’s not that we haven’t been trying to fix the problem, it’s just that Chilly’s solutions haven’t been working out there. One thought on drafting secondaries is that it’s better to go for a hot corner and move your aging corners out to the safety position, rather than actually drafting a dedicated safety. Still, we picked up Tyrell Johnson who doesn’t seem to be making as much impact as expected, and we reached out to snag Madieu Williams who did alright in his first year with us after he got over the injury, but this year seems almost lackadaisical.
