top shelf human being
I'm a NE Patriots fan. I grew up in Minnesota watching the vikings lose 4 super bowls. I've just watched MN beat the Packers. Good for them! The" Bret "thing turned my stomach when it started for the jets & then when it commenced at MN. The patriots and vikings are good teams. They both have their own stars. But the universal applause must go to #4. Around all the media hoopla, being 40 years old, he brings us all back to the 'spirit' of football! Mickey Mantle did it for baseball. Now #4 has inspired the country (or atleast this football fan). A player with integrity, the fun loving sand-lot kid, concerned about winning.. but also all the players on the field, has has returned to a stage with bigger plans than mere winning. He has become an example for young & old. His sportsmanship & the love of the game speaks volumes to what could & should be.... for all of us non-professionals.. in life!!! !

Very well said
I agree his sportsmanship, his sandlot style and the fact he truly cares about winning are all great charactersitics that we should all applaud. He really makes the game fun to watch and although I was one of those who didn’t like it when he came late, I certainly am glad to have him now.

Thanks
That was well stated, and I agree. I’m starting to believe in Brett Favre.
Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!

Agree Completely
He takes me back to those days as well…
It has been so much pleasure this year watching my team play….
Favre brings the best out in the players/team, and this cannot be denied as evidenced by the W-L tallyto now…
May they enjoy their bye week (I will miss having a game to watch but is all good), and may they work on Frazier (not sure is possible…maybe trade him LOL)…
Thanks for your comments and appreciate the time to stop by our site!

I would rather be IN the Arena than watching from the stands...That is my life!

Brett doesn't even know what he'll be having for lunch...
When critics were saying that this was some kind of conspiracy by Brett that’s been going on for years, you just gotta shake your head. As one Packer OLM said, “Brett doesn’t even know what he’ll be having for lunch…”
Brett wants to play. That’s all that he knows how to do. And he is generous, too. He’s done a lot for charities, something that lots of players do but you never hear about.
I sincerely hope that he goes out on a good note. Another ring for him would be nice.

Those conspiracy things
are dreamed up by people with a lot of time on their hands that they have nothing useful to do with.

It's fun now...
After all those years of listening to commentators go on… and on… and on… about Favre with all those cliches, now that he’s one of us I can do it and enjoy it.
I love this guy. He just loves to play the game. He does it just like they drew it up in the sand. He’s like a kid out there.
Maybe that’s why he came to MN. Just to give us a chance to hear all that again and realize that it’s actually true.
It’s fun to watch him play. I can’t really describe the warm fuzzies I got after seeing his downfield block in the 49ers game. It was almost like discovering there really is a Santa Claus. My dad was in town visiting his grand-daughter and we both sat there with these stupid grins on our faces. Father, son and grand-child watching our nemesis turned savior, it’s all pretty epic stuff.

The Big Kid
that’s what he is. Just a well paid, big kid. Everyone has heard that if you find a job doing something you love doing then i wouldn’t seem like a job. Why are so many people upset that Mr. Favre has found that job for himself. Just a whole lot of “hating” if you ask me.
