Week 10 Injury Report

Only two Vikings appeared on Friday's NFL Injury Report. It looks like the bye week did us some good!

Star-divide

From NFL.com:

"Brett Favre (hip, groin) is listed as probable for Week 10. Favre is playing very well and is a strong start as he faces Detroit. The Vikings are no lock to blow out a divisional opponent, but Favre should post good fantasy numbers regardless of how wide the scoring margin is.

Bernard Berrian (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 10. He has not been dependable this year and should be reserved."

Brett has said he's fine, but it is starting to look like a wasted season for Bernard. It's hard to believe he is questionable for this game because of his hamstring when the last time we saw him he was scoring a TD late in the game at Lambeau. The Vikes should rest Bernard until he is completely healthy. Btw, is Darius Reynaud healthy and active on the roster?

Not sure which list on nfl.com you’re looking at, but this one shows 6 Vikings on the list, with Winfield being the only guy who is definitely out. Darius is listed as probable.

My mistake – I was looking in the fantasy football section of NFL.com

Reynaud

is listed as “probable” and did participate in full practices.

Why don't we use Reynaud and Johnson..

…and sit Berrian? Let him heal for later in the year when we might need him. I think we would be fine with Harvin, Rice, Reynaud, Johnson and Lewis for a few games.

Makes sense to me

BB is clearly fragile. If we get him healthy, he may be more useful towards the end of the year, and he’ll definitely be worth more as trade bait. It’s time to get a healthier, faster #1 WR.

Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
SKOL!
