SavetheVikes.org Stadium Drive Update!
Hey STV.org supporters! Things are looking good on the field with the Vikings going 8-1 after the bye week! I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on what is happening off the field with the Stadium issue.
The biggest news to report is that your efforts are working! Just last week, Margaret Kelliher, gubernatorial candidate proposed what she calls a “Purple Ribbon” panel be formed to discuss the stadium issue regarding the Minnesota Vikings.
Kelliher’s spokesman was quoted by the Star Tribune: "More and more Minnesotans are asking about the stadium situation," said Andrew Wittenborg, a spokesman for the House Speaker, a DFLer from Minneapolis. "We really need a public place to talk about what happens next."
Let’s keep up the emails to our Representatives, Senators and Governor which will show the public and fans desire to keep the Vikings in Minnesota by building a new stadium! Information on finding your State leaders contact info and a letter to send at www.savethevikes.org/huddle-up/ Takes about 5 clicks and less than 5 minutes to make a positive impact and it DOESN’T cost you a cent!
Posted now on http://www.savethevikes.org/2009/11/14/the-vikings-fan-stadium-defensive-and-offensive-playbook/ are 10 things you can do to help convince the opposition and 10 things you can do to be proactive in helping the Vikings get a stadium deal in place. Please check it out and put into practice!
That’s it for now, please continue to post links on your Facebook and Twitter feeds and share with all of your new friends and followers!
Thanks for your continued support, BIG news coming later this week to watch out for!

Very good news!
Hey, if there is anything an out of stater (but former Minnesotan) can do, let me know. Also, the Vikings fan club, The New Mexico Norseman, that I got started also added you on Facebook, so please send any info on there as well.

Great work!
Thanks for all your efforts in putting together the SavetheVikes.org website and gathering all that information. You’ve put together some well thought out arguments that should help fans frame the debate when speaking to those that oppose a new stadium.

Agree
This is moving our need for a stadium from concept to reality…nice effort! Thanks!
I would rather be IN the Arena than watching from the stands...That is my life!
