Hasselbeck thinks T.J. would have picked Favre

I found this while surfing around for any possible vikings stories that may have been missed here on DN. Like that would ever happen.

Apparently Hasselbeck thinks that if Favre has come out of retirement prior to T.J. making a decision that he would have picked the Vikes over the Hawks.

I would like to be the first to say DUHHHHHH. I would also like to thank T.J. for passing on Minnesota and second, and yeah this is weird to type, thank Farve for waiting that bit of extra time. This is of course because we all know, had the Vikes gotten T.J. we most likely would not have drafted Percy Harvin and Sidney Rice would most likely not be having the season he is.

You can find the whole piece where I found it on the Pioneer Press page at  http://blogs.twincities.com/Vikings/2009/11/hasselbeck-thinks-tj-would-hav.html Or just read the intering tidbit here:

"It's probably a bigger game for (former Viking) Nate Burleson, because he's got fond memories up there," Hasselbeck said. "When I talked to T.J. when he was here, he was deciding between going back to Cincinnati, and going to Minnesota, and coming here to Seattle. I'm just glad Brett didn't come out of retirement around that time, because T.J. probably would have picked Brett."
What makes you say that, Matt?
"I just got a feeling."

Thanks Brett, for waiting.

We have all heard the old saying. (Be careful what you wish for) Having Whosyourdaddy on our team would not have hurt us. It just wouldn’t have been as good as having Percy. Things happen in weird ways sometimes. If we end up winning it all we will call it fate.

His feeling was a news story in the Seattle Intelligencer

Were Housh stated that he may have made a mistake in going to Seattle.

Ouch

When your WR makes a statement like that, publicly, and the season’s only halfway through, you know the team’s in trouble…

Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
SKOL!
