Condolences to the Spielman Family

We here at the Daily Norseman would like to join the football community at large in giving our condolences to the Spielman family, as it was learned tonight that Stephanie Spielman has lost her battle with breast cancer at the age of 42.

Stephanie Spielman is the wife of Chris Spielman, who we all remember as a linebacker for the Detroit Lions from 1988 to 1995 after an outstanding career at Ohio State.  Chris Spielman is also the younger brother of Rick Spielman, who is currently the Vikings' Vice President of Player Personnel.

Stephanie is survived by Chris and their four children, Madison, Noah, Mason, and Audrey, as well as her mother and three sisters.

Again, our deepest condolences go out to the Spielman family in their time of need.

Condolences....

Always tough to lose a loved one….

Especially one so young….lost my sister-in-law many years ago to cancer….

She was 40 years old….still a baby….terrible time for the family….

Sure that all our prayers are with her and those she left behind…

God bless from afar…

I would rather be IN the Arena than watching from the stands...That is my life!

Man o man o man!!!!

I’m from Ohio, went to Ohio State, I see Chris Spielman doing the Big Ten games for Espn, all this time I assumed she had this beat!! Shocking!!! I feel for Chris and the whole Spielman family and everyone who knew her struggle……

Will continue to pray for their family....

it’s sad when innocent people in this evil world die before their time whether violently or from unfair illnesses. My cousin to meningitis, a friend recently to rape and murder.
We don’t realize how precious and short our lives are until things like this happen. Will keep offering my support through prayer to the Spielman family.
