Around SBN: Tiger Woods Makes His 2012 PGA Tour Debut

NFC North StandingsThrough Friday 27 November

The Packers appear to be in a good position to get into the playoffs as a wild card team? Eagles 6-4, Giants 6-5, Falcons 5-5, 49ers 4-6.....

North W L T Pct PF PA Home Road Div Conf Streak
 Minnesota Vikings 9 1 0 .900 306 193 5-0-0 4-1-0 4-0-0 7-0-0 Won 3
 Green Bay Packers 7 4 0 .636 296 215 4-2-0 3-2-0 3-2-0 6-3-0 Won 3
 Chicago Bears 4 6 0 .400 206 225 3-2-0 1-4-0 1-1-0 2-5-0 Lost 3
 Detroit Lions 2 9 0 .182 193 335 2-4-0 0-5-0 0-5-0 1-8-0 Lost 1

Not sure if we should be happy because we may get a chance to beat Packers yet again this year, or hope they crash and burn and we do not see them again until next year? Guess either way does not matter...

Regarding the Bears, how will they look after Sunday's L  highlighting a probable breakout day for Viking D INTs and Peterson's best day of the year (they both are due) ?

Maybe cries for a new coach, Cutler whining/crying, more tap dancing from Da Bear fans? I have not heard too much stuff from their fans, they have been fairly quiet (I wonder why lol?)...

For the Vikings, a W on Sunday will not lock the division for us, but it will keep us well ahead of the Packers and in the hunt for HFA throughout the playoffs. We know what we can do, just need to do it (and hope NE beats NO)...

Little luck along with complete game again this weekend will keep us on our glidepath...T-day was nice, games not too impressive for me...need some Vikings action!

GO VIKINGS!

go Ravens

Hopin’ Ravens can beat Packers. Absolutely do not want them in play-offs at all, period.

Such a hard decision.

Very difficult to beat a team three times in one year. Not to mention A-Rod has been staying more upright lately.

Just tough to say. All Minnesota can do is win win win…and win win win. 15-1 would help.

Think best too (Shoot for 15-1)

Let the rest play out….Getting to 15-1 will be more than enough “gelling” time….Will not matter who we are up against after that….

Injuries are one thing to worry about, hope we get more chances to play backups in 4th QTRs of games….Many other things, but this is kind of the X factor….

Speaking of Duh Bears.

The only thing I’ve seen from Duh Bears fans so far, is a photoshop taunt in Fanshots from someone called smudgers. I responded in kind with one of my own.

If the Vikings win on Sunday, wouldn’t that lock up the NFC North for them? If they win, the worst divisional record they could have would be 5-1 and said win would assure that every other NFC North team has at least 2 division losses. The first round playoff bye would still be up for grabs (technically), but the division would essentially wrapped up right?

by Josh_D on Nov 27, 2009 3:39 PM CST reply actions

Not necessarily

If we win, Chicago would be eliminated from the division. However, GB would not. GB would have to win 4 games and Min would have to lose 4.

by mjmrad on Nov 27, 2009 4:11 PM CST up reply actions

if we win out

The next 4 games then we have locked the Divsion, the best G.B. can do now is a 12 and 4 season once we hit 13 wins then its not possible for G.B. have a better season. Each win we have and loss they have takes us closer. If Bears lose Sunday, then its just a race between G.B. as the best Bears can do is 9-7.

by speedlod on Nov 27, 2009 4:14 PM CST up reply actions

We have the tie breaker over GB, so technically we wouldn’t have to get to thirteen if the best they could do is twelve.

by LoveHate on Nov 27, 2009 5:12 PM CST up reply actions

Correct

But let’s not shoot so low. ;-) We are shooting for home field throughout! 15-1 will hopefully do it!

We don't need the tie breaker

Because we are going to go 15-1. And we are going to win the Super Bowl.
